And what the fuck is that "The Big Boys are gone" shit? Call me insane, but I didn't see the Red Sox or Yankees having homefield advantage in the DS.

The "big boys" this year are two midwest teams. It's going to drive the sportsworld nuts if at least the Angels don't make it.

Yeah, his dad was top notch. I'm really good friends with Bob Starr's son (Dan probably knows who I'm talking about) and he grew up with Joe, so I've met him a few times. He's a dildo.

I appear to have gone insane and missed who the third voice in the booth is. Help?

From the quick glance I saw, it looked like Bob Brenley, but don't quote me on that.

Brewtown Andy

That was a weird exchange.

"What were you doing on that day, Tim?"
"Triple Crown winner Carl Yastrzemski."

Brewtown Andy

"Tries to kick an extra point and ends up catching a touchdown!"

And this is Fox's #1 football announcer? WTF?

Great game, nice start to the ninth.

Now, don't fucking bunt.

Shit, I thought for sure the Angels, with a depleted pitching staff and a post-Yankees hangover, would end up spotting game 1 to the Sox...but they came out fighting and took it. Rodriguez is living dangerously, though. I'll be stunned if he doesn't give up a lead at some point during the postseason.

That was a spectacular play. I never knew Erstad caught a TD pass in college. He gets embarrassed when anyone calls him a football player, because he was "just" a punter.

He's picked up right where Troy Percival left off.

I was at the game where the Halos honored Percy for his 300th save. They had Erstad say a few words, which were pretty much "Thanks for 300 of the most nerve-wracking innings of our careers." It was said with much love, but it wasn't far off the mark.

I think an Angels/Cards World Series would be some damned fine baseball. And how often have 2 brothers on one team played their third brother on the opposing team?

But first, let's try and win a few more against these White Sox.
