I notice Diamond distributes it. Isn't that kind of odd? I don't think I've ever seen Playboys in a comic shop, has anyone?

My shop didn't order it regularly but if someone special ordered it, we got it. I remember opening a number of boxes where I'd see an issue of playboy staring me in the face.

Yeah, one of the comic book stores I go to has a shelf of Playboy, Maxim, Stuff, etc.

I guess it makes sense to stock if people will buy it, but it still seems strange.

The shop that I went to as a kid had just as much of that kind of stuff as he did comics. The shop I go to now orders for people who request it, but doesn't stock extras.

my lcs is not an exclusively comics only shop, so yes. they have comics, mags, and cards.

My LCS did when he first opened. But it wasn't that big of a seller... I think most folks felt a little icky buying Playboy from a comic book store. But there are a couple of guys who still pre-order it.

Do they typically keep it away from/out of sight of the comic books? I'd think there'd be a problem with parents letting their kids shop & spend money in the store if the porn was easily accessible.

Not only do they carry Playboy, they carry Hustler and a few others AND stock back issues.

So they don't give a discount for pull boxes nor do they bag and board. I still love them.

I used to have a "normal" magazine rack where i had all the news mags, Playboy included. But I didn't get mine from diamond, but from a news stand distributer where you sent back the stuff that didn't sell.

I don't know about individual issues, but my old LCS had a Playboy calander.

at my old store they did, but guys with files ordered them so they went straight from the box into the file, which i have no problem with

well iusualy see stuff like maxim, fhm and those type of magazines....never playboy

unless those old hustler comic magazines count?

If a store caries those adult/porn comics, I don't see why they wouldn't carry Playboy.
