Sorry if this has been posted but I searched and couldn't find anything. I saw this yesterday at 2000 and now at 20000. I can't believe it - it seems like the whole world is being bashed by nature right now.
ANyone around there (India, Pakistan, Afghanistan?)

Terrible. I guess nature is just in a bad mood this year. It's always terrible in these regions for the simple reason that the places are so crowded.

It's freaking horrible. My fundamentalist aunt is screaming up and down that the "Rapture" is near.

It does have an end is near type feel if I were a fundamentalist aunt.
I wonder if there are more disasters in the last year or if
a. there's more unregulated building and population concentration
b. more news coverage of events we used to ignore because before internet, people in places like this used to seem so much more distant
or maybe all three. Very sad news.
