As a matter of complete irrelevance, speaking of sitcoms... I just finished with Scrubs Season 4. What a neat show. I'm gonna have to see if I can get the other seasons now. I was wondering to myself if the producer or writers know Alan Alda. J.D.'s character with the dead stuffed dog as Chief Resident in a hospital and star of a medical sitcom with serious overtones? Alan Alda who really pioneered the idea of a half-serious comedy as the star of a medical sitcom with serious overtones? What's JD's dog got to do with it? Alda just released a memoir of his life entitled, "Never Have Your Dog Stuffed, And Other Things I Have Learned." The Title was based on a dog he lost, and his dad stuffed it to try an make an inconsolable little Alan feel better. Instead it turned out to be creepy. I'd just been watching Scrubs at home, and the first thing I thought of was JD's stuffed dog.
