Was there a Batman Elseworlds about Batman as a factory worked in the 20's? Or was that just a fever dream?

Yeah, I remember that episode. But no, I'm pretty sure it was about him as a mill worker and an elseworlds. Set in the 1920/30's

Again, maybe I'm crazy, tho.

It's possable...I mean they practically put Batman in every situation you can think about in those Elseworlds book. I'll look into it and see if I can find anything.

Otherwise..if anyone else knows...please...speak up

Maybe you're confusing it a bit with detective 27, it's the only batman story I'm aware that plays in the 20's

Sinclair wrote a book about how all of his good friends who are great artists drank themselves to death. It's pretty fascinating. I can't remember it's title though. Something "Cup"

Ah. It's called "The Cup of Fury."

But that's also not the Batman story. :D

The Golden Streets Of Gotham? The dirty little secret of the DC universe finally comes out - Batman pissed on Jason Todd, and that's why he was such a little shit.

You're confusing it with "The Golden Showers of Gotham" which was banned by DC shortly after release.

SIMPSONS DID IT!

was there ever a good batman elseworld's tale? most of those elseworlds ended up being something either so far off it wasn't good, or so close to continuity that it didn't really matter.

I like the one with the medival Bat-knight, the present day Batman, and the future Batwoman. That one was cool.

I think Batman has literally been every single occupation ever in Elseworlds.

My personal favorites were the vampire trilogy and the Wild (Gory as anything though.)

I read the first vampire one. It was a little... silly. But the idea of Batman as a vampire is intreguing.

I liked the one when Batman was half of a popular comedy duo from the 30's and 40's, Batman & Costello. Seeing the "who's on first" routine performed with one man in a cowl, adds a whole new dimension to the comedy.
