There's a difference between being a hometown fan, and being a douche. Guess which of us is which?
But in all seriousness, the Vikes have struggled because of their defense. You can't blame that on Daunte, he's been one of the best QB's in football for a while now. I'm hoping this year is going to be the year, the Packers are weakened and the Vikes defense has been meated up.

Call me old-fashioned, but I think one's team has to actually win the division before claiming they "rule" and that the division winner of the last three years "sucks."
I don't know, maybe that's just me.

Ah. That's right. Because fans of rival teams aren't allowed to think the other team sucks right? Like Cubs fans don't think the Cards suck. Boston fans don't think the Yankees suck, etc. etc.

Not too impressive when the Pack has only made it to the NFC championship three times in the past 30+ years. In the meantime, the Vikes, more than double that.
Bill, it's a proven fact anyone from the Dakotas are part of the Vikings hometown. If you like them, then you're one of us; blood and all. And be damned, if that doesn't cut it - then you can have honorary residence at my place! :D

I have no idea what you are saying.
Didn't really make sense, did it? I blame it on the meds.
I was referring to that fact that every single announcer who has ever announced a football game will go on and on about how Brett Favre is the greatest thing to ever happen to football.
My favorite was during the Packers/Chargers preseason game, they had special interviews all about Brett throughout the whole game, hardly mentioning Drew Brees, the 3rd best QB last year, who also was comeback player of the year. Then, after maligning Terrell Owens for not "being a team player" and making himself out to be bigger than the team, etc. (of which I agree) thay go RIGHT into talking about how Favre IS the Green Bay Packers and the team would fall apart without him.

People love Brett Favre because he loves to play and he loves the competition; unlike many Hollywood players who are out for the paycheck.
His popularity doesn't have much to do with numbers. We can only hope that the rest of the NFL is like him.

Okay I withdraw that statement yet still the Pack's Super Bowl victories greatly overshadow a franchise that haven't won a Super Bowl, ever.

Todays' game was purely the fault of Daunte Culpepper. You can place the blame solely on his shoulders. The defense today was great. When Daunte gets back on his game, the division is ours!

I know, its just one game. I know, we're still 1-2. Our takeaway deficit is still huge. But... today was a rout. Which is even better considering Darren Sharper is gone in addition to the regulars. Plus, the Packers lost their third straight. Hopefully this is the return of the Daunte we all know and love.

Well, the Falcons should be no match for us then, because as everyone knows, they have no QB and two running backs.
I'd also like to just clarify, that while not super important at this point in the season, I think its worth noting. The two teams that beat the Vikes, are the only 3 - 0 teams (besides the Colts) in the NFL.

I'll get my hopes up all I want. And about the New Orleans thing, football is football. You play through things. They've said it themselves. Besides, its only been three away games.
