A very intersting look into Nightcrawler's past as he tries to reconcile it with the man he is today.
Margolis Zardoz looks great (I am sure I spelt her name wrong), and the story is nice and dark.
The artwork is a bit....eh. (i.e. why was Wolverine fat in issue 9?), but I do enjoy the overall tone of it.
Magick (Amanda Sefton) gets the shit kicked out of her in the latest issue, but by far the best surprise I got was on the final page with the appearance of
MOTHERFUCKIN' MAN-THING!!!!
it blew my mind.
anyone else reading this book?

anyone else reading this book?Nightcrawler, She-Hulk, Captain America and Daredevil.
My reading quota from Marvel for the last half a year.
It's a great book. Easily the only X-book I could give a crap about.

This is such a great book in so many aspects. Which is odd, because solo X-books usually aren't that good. But goddamn this is great.

Okay, the art was bad, 3 different inkers didn't really help,
there were certain things that bugged me
First, writing feuer wrong, it takes you 5 seconds to look on the net and to see how fire is written in german.
Secondly, Feuer appeared in maybe for me the best Casey story Uncanny 406, where Feuer lives reclused in the alps, and Nightcrawler goes to him, hiding from the X-Men to be able to think where he's going with his life, at the end Kurt asks him, iffeuer wants to go with him, and Feuer refuses preferring living in solitude, what is he doing now back at the circus
Last time I saw Margali was in Ellis soulsword story in Excalibur, where she looked still human...
what is that with Swamp Thing, I thought he was one of the good ones?

i think that they are somehow being posessed and are being forced to attack the circus by someone else. thats just how i saw it.

The story seems to be a follow up of ellis, soulswordstory, where the villain was also able to control other persons.

Does anyone know the fate of this book after Decimation and the 198.
I just assume it'a the kind of title that will end up cancelled. :?

Pretty sure it's been cancelled. Which sucks, I was liking this book.

you know...its a great book and all...but why is it centered around magic ...it seems that the writer should be writing a Magik book...not a nightcrawler...one...nightcrawler is being played way too serious and heavy into the magic...he should be bamfing around and being his usual upbeat and swashbuckling self.......

The Magik appearances were rubbing me up the wrong way, a little.
I think he should start a church in Hell's Kitchen, and deal with opression and have a tense relationship with Daredevil. :D

I can understand that criticism. But, at the same time, that's kind of what I liked about the book. Not the magic part, necessarily, but that it was a different take on him while still retaining enough of the character to make it familiar. I dunno if that makes sense or not. :-?

I definitely wouldn't want to eliminate the versatility of the character, but I could agree that the magic could provide less of a constant for the book.
Make him a priest again! Give him a church!
Revisit the kind of urban themes of the Icons mini-series.
Have some general character driven stories.
198 mutant opression (as a priest).
There's lots to play with!
