Ok, maybe not finally. He's been insane for a while now, but jeez.
(if this thread turns into Christian bashing I will personally come to your house and sodomize you until your eyes bleed)

I've never been a big fan of Robertson, even when as a kid I was caught up in my mom's holy roller stuff.
I do think it's funny that ABC family has this fairly secular line up and then out of nowhere once or twice a day the 700 club or some other preacher comes on out of nowhere.

Can we do 'old people' bashing? Cuz that guy's fuckin' old. It could totally be senility.

For being Christian, Pat Robertson certainly is obsessed with killing.

I don't know anything about Pat Robertson. Not big on evangelicals. But I do sort of like Billy Graham. (spelling? Is it like the cracker and the delicious Golden cereal flakes?) I saw a Billy Graham appearance on the Jack Paar show DVD, circa December 1963, chatting it up about how Lee Harvey Oswald is going to hell, and I loved him. He seems like good people.

Graham crackers were invented to prevent masturbation.

I'm a Christian, so I won't say that I hate Pat Robertson, but I don't really approve of the way he behaves. I don't like it when evangelicals try to speak on behalf of my faith, but I especially don't like it when they use my faith to espouse hatred, homophobia, and political agendas, and that's what the 700 Club is all about.
"Operation Supreme Court Freedom" indeed. "Please God, give us more vacancies. *wink*"
It's all about Love Thy Neighbor.

yeah. The guy behind Kellogs was a big anti-masturbation nut too. People always knock TV because it encourages people to think less, but when you consider the kind of stuff people came up with before TV, maybe less thinking is good.

But I only ever see his truck, I think he gets home before me so I have been unable to accidentally run into him to start a conversation and begin the seduction.

I just read about this on comcast. Fucking idiot. He's the one praying for people to die on the Supreme Court isn't he?

Now see? I kinda view this as a good thing. The more kooks like Pat Robertson and Billy Graham say stuff like they do, the more they paint evangelical christians in the ludicrous light they belong in. And hopefully, by bad example, they show the good christians how not to act. And maybe better still, they turn off the ones they seduced before with their craziness. I have I hopes for my grandparents that way.
And I bet you were expecting something really negative outta me on this too. :D

This is the guy who says God sent the 9/11 planes to punish New York and DC for the ACLU and feminists.
Keith, you want to sodomize someone till their eyes bleed? I'll write you a check for plane fare and hotel accomodations to Robertson's hometown.

The funny thing is that this is one of the less hateful, extreme things he's said. At least this time he's targeting enemies of America as opposed to minority citizens.

I actually think it was Fallwell who said that on Robertson's show (about 9/11).
So sodomize the both of them Keith. Do it for the people. Do it till they cry.

You're right. My mistake. Robertson was more guilty by association, and for not remotely distancing himself from those remarks.

That, and he's repeatedly said that Jews control to government and "sodomites" should be killed. He's got enough fucktard quotes of his own.

This guy is such a hypocrite that it appalling. I find it sadly amusing he is the type of person that Jesus was so vehemently against in the New Testament.

Not liking crazy douchebags like Robertson doesn't make you a bad Christian. He's a crazy douchebag. This article seems perfectly within his circle of crazy.

Because as we all know, each nutjob (no matter how influential) is an isolated exception to the rule.
Still, Pat Robertson hasn't finally lost his mind. Its been gone for a long long time.

The "good" Christians should already know how to act. Unless the standard for "good" is based on something that doesn't account for words and actions.
BTW, evangelical is supposed to be about spreading (or evangelizing) the Good News (or Gospel) of Jesus - ideally in the spirit of love and humility. In and of itself, evangelism is not a bad thing. It's how some people choose to evangelize that makes it bad.

My favorite part is how he just throws "Islamic extremism" in there with absolutely no explanation. Whaaa?
Kinda highlights the whole abuse of 9/11 thing that conservatives are doing and that won Bush the 04 election. Great tragedies should not be used to justify every fucked up bullshit agenda you people have. Fuckers.

What commentary does it make on the seeming majority of our people that it seems to work over and over again, and that we never seem to learn any better?
