This'll probably end up as a CBR logo, but anyway, Punisher seems to be compensating for something.

Ok, Ultimate Namor is hot.
So evidently House of M leads into what could be the potential Days of Future Past.

So in Defenders #5, they fight evil versions of themselves? Didn't this team just do that in JLA: Classified? Hmm. Will probably still be good.

I'm glad they're doing a third Fantastic Four HC. They look so good on the shelf. Plus I'm more likely to re-read them than pulling all the single issues out of the bags.

Likewise. Looks like it'll be a good month that won't have me pulling my hair out money wise.

I'm honestly not that impressed with this month from Marvel. I'm picking up my usual books, plus Deadly Genesis, Book of Doom, Decimation and Generation M, but that might be it for new books for me. With the pile of stuff from DC in November, I'll need a lighter month

Wow, from a quick run through, it looks like Marvel has a ton of stuff I want to read just like in October. Earlier in the year it seemed like things were getting a little thin but it looks like they have fixed that for me.
Have the issues included in the first FF Hardcover, then moved to trades for the second hardcover, and I'm glad there is a third Hardcover since i've held off on the trades to get it.
Oh, and did I read that right, the Big Wheel??? :o That is so great. First Swarm, and now the Big Wheel. Its great to see some lesser used villains out there, even if they are a bit goofy at times. Its like someone's delivering obscure villians to me. Rather have them then a guy in a business suit sometimes.

Looks like I'm definitely getting 23 Marvel books, and there are 14 others that I might get (some mini series or new series that I'll try the first issue of but may have dropped by then, and a few new books I'll get if I'm hearing good things about).

Ah, I like the character. But I'm on the fence because it's not written by Kyle and Yost. They seem to really get the character, and I don't know if I want to see her written by anyone else. Lord knows Claremont and Quesada botched her.

Not as much as:
Captain Universe: 3-D Man
or
Captain Universe: Captain Universe

Nah Captain Jarvis could go track down Mr. Hyde and get a little payback.
Then smack the Wasp upside the head and be all "Get your own damn coffee bitch!"
The he could bring Hawkeye back to life and kill him again and say "Dumbass, you use fucking arrows, get a fucking gun."

y'know... I'm glad that Jay Faerber is getting some higher profiled work. I'd love to see him take over MK 4 at some point. He'd be perfect for it.

I want a companion book to Captain Universe: Jarvis with Captain Universe: Aunt May, this time she can Galactus instead of becoming his Herald.
Captain Universe: Speedball
Captain Universe: Humbug
Captain Universe: Chuck Austen
It really has unlimited potential.

Wait a minute. Why is JMS off ASM and why isn't Waid (it was Waid right?) writing Neighborhood Friendly Spider-Man? And PAD is off of Hulk! WHAT THE FUCK!?

PAD is off Hulk for good. Way is the new writer.
As for the Spiderman books, it's because of the crossover. Peter David(not Waid) wrote all three titles in October, Hudlin writes all 3 in November, and JMS picks all three up in December. That month of Hudlin is what's keeping me from picking up the story.

Every Spidey writer (PAD, JMS, Hudlin writes a month of the Other each) Waid was announced off Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-man a long time ago.

Wait a minute. Why is JMS off ASM and why isn't Waid (it was Waid right?) writing Neighborhood Friendly Spider-Man?
1. However it worked out, Mark Waid bowed out of FRIENDLY NEIGHBORHOOD SPIDER-MAN and is now signed under a DC exclusive contract. Peter David was chosen to write the book with Mike Wieringo still on art.
2. In this "The Other" storyline, it's been developed so that one writer writes all three titles in a single month for a more consistent feel. Peter David writes the October Spider-man titles, Reginald Hudlin for November, and finally JMS for December.
3. The January books are described as epilogues to "The Other" storyline, with the writers returning to their respective books.
And PAD is off of Hulk! WHAT THE FUCK!?
It was time to move on to bigger and better things than a nostalgia romp designed to sell copies of HULK VISIONARIES books.

i didn't think quesada botched her. i thought she was cool in nyx.
but then again, i never read the x-23 series, so i don't know how she was handled in that.
i did read one of claremont's arcs with her though, in a trade i got at my library. she didn't seem like the 'costume' type of character.

Well that just sucks. I really enjoyed the Tempest Fugit arc and this House of M tie in kicks ass. This new guy better give the Green Machine his due, or Peanut Smash.

Looks like Sam Guthrie's got yet ANOTHER new costume...
Seems to me that the New Mutants are being distributed evenly through the X-Books somewhat nowadays along with the surviving Generation X-ers and all the Noob Mutants/Noob Hellions from Academy X. I was unaware for the most part that Sam had been in Cable & Deadpool nowadays til I had a look at House of M. Great. Another series to look at. DAMMIT! I'M STILL READING WONDER WOMAN! I'M NOT MADE OF TIME TO READ COMICS!
As long as Kyle an Yost are writing X-23 and lose the stupid shit Claremont was doing with her being all feral in a Sabretooth costume, I'll try to be cool with it. Though I still find her to be redundant in the face of the continued existence of Rahne Sinclair. I did however enjoy the Yost & Kyle Mini. And that's a lot for me to admit. I went in fully expecting to be hella-disgusted and found myself liking it in spite of myself. If they can show that level of writing and not pulling any punches and not wimping out on us in Academy X, maybe good things can happen there.
I still want The New Mutants Vol. 3 tho. Nothing changes that. Written by Brian K Vaughan and illustrated by someone TALENTED who can adhere to the established yet evolved character models. Someone on the more realist side of the spectrum. It had to be said. It's me after all.

I thought eventually Ultimate Omega Red would show up, but in Ultimate Spidey??? I had no idea that he was going to show up.
Anyone else thinking from that picture that perhaps a Russian lab got their hands on Ben Reilly's Carnage sample and used it to create Omega Red?
