Know this isn't nearly as exciting as Maleev's "Ass Talk," but, well, just thought I'd continue this stream -- sorry if it bores...
So Anyway -- this is what I've got: (Saw some sample scripts on-line -- so Ill try that format -- would love to hear how you and Ellis and actually work Adi: does he script all the panels, or just some and leave you with general ideas; also wonder how the "style" of your art expresses some Ellis' key ideas)...
Okay: Here goes: First several panels shows downtown Chicago. It's lunch time: streets bustling; busses, cars, lots of people; We see an outdoor cafe; close-up of a fat guy eating a hamburger; mid-shot of a family talking to a waitress; close-up of anolder couple fighting; long shot of a homeless guy sitting on the street. Then three panels showing a cop on horseback, he's wearing mirrored glasses, chats with some people, and heads toward the homeless guy. Close-up of cop hassling homeless guy.
As this goes on , a young girl, 20's, dressed in jeans and a bulky jacket walks toward the cafe. She stops in the middle of tables and begins to scan the area, as if looking for someone she's supposed to meet. Cross-cut with close-ups of people's body parts: a hand lifitng a glass of water; a mouth chewing on food; the cop pulling out a club. Then close-up of the girl. She opens her jacket. A "Dirty Bomb" is strapped to her. She blows herself up as the world erupts into immolated chaos.

Well, that's the opening. Whats follows is a lot ideas I've already posted, but with this new narrative about the causes of Tony "transmogrifying" into the "Horrible Iron Man." Before, I just thought his armor would become sentient and then this would descend into a life or death fight of self identity: whether Tony or the Iron Man would prevail. Now I'm thinking, the whole horrible metamorphosis is preciptated by a double-cross on the part of the CIA. A dirty bomb is exploded in the heart of a major American city, but the U.S. has no idea who really did it.
A deranged head of the CIA, contacts IronMan for a mission: telling IronMan they know who exploded the DirtyBomb. It's a trap though. This deranged CIA J. Edgar Hoover/Roy Cohn type wants to kill Iron Man (for lots of good reasons, a good one being that Tony's work threatens a massive Defense contract he's got his hands in). So he tricks IronMan to hunt down the "terrorist." And in horrific reflection of a certain American mentality -- the one that says just turn certain countries into parking lots to solve our problems -- he detonates a nuclear weapon on the exact site where IronMan is supposed to hunt down the terrorist.
The ensuing nuclear explosion -- God -- the art here could be incredibly poetic, but a poetic horror -- RE-Forms Iron Man. It ignites the Dante like desecent of his journey into a living hell: He survives, but is imprisoned by his armor. His face is hideously deformed. And he's leathally radioactive to others.
So that's what the fuck he has to deal with....
