View Full Version : Free painting program!
I had this up on my forum for a while, figured I'd spread the word. It's a free little program called ArtRage (http://artrage.com/), and you can get it for Mac and PC. Fun stuff and the price is right. Not as feature packed as Painter or Photoshop, but it's got most of the stuff you need. I'm not much of a painter (digital or canvas) but here's the one I did today for fun. Give it a shot!

I've just fallen in love with Corel Painter IX - to be honest, I can't beleive how cheap this thing is. A fraction of the cost of Photoshop, and I personally like it much better for any kind of digital drawing or coloring/painting.
But that's pretty damn cool, Kody. Why the hell didn't you go to Chicago?

I was chatting with my guy at Wizard and it was looking like I was getting a table, then he wasn't able to get one. So I would have just been drifting without any place to pimp the goods. So I bought a table in Boston instead and using the Chicago funds to go there. I was really bummed about not doing Chicago, but the table situation didn't work out with Wizard in time.
:(
I'll be in Dallas for sure, and possibly LA again. I've still never been to Chicago.

I've gotta say, I've been to several Wizard cons, and I have yet to have a good experience in dealing with Wizard as a pro. I'm really pretty fed up with them. (Wizard shows are the ONLY ones where pros have to pay for table space, which is ridiculous - if it weren't for those of us who make comics, they wouldn't even have a reason to hold their fucking shows.)
Dallas is out, as are all other Wizard shows. I'm sure I'll do Chicago again, because the fans are great and they're the reason I go to shows. But when and if I do, I'll just hang out at night, fill up my sketch list there in the bar, and then spend the day hanging out at the show and drawing sketches in my hotel room.
THWIP!

Thats sucks about Wizard. It's cool that you'll be there next year for the fans, that's really awesome of you.
