NEWS! Help! (email notifications)

Earlier today I started getting email notifications from all threads I posted in. Tried to turn it off, but I can't figure it out. Several other people are reporting the same problems in the Bendis forum.

This has been addressed in the FAQ.

A:I've been trying to fix some issues for some other members and I had to change some board settings. This was one of them. I made a universal change to user settings that turned this feature on. If you want this turned off, you'll have to go to:
1.User Cp
2.Click on "Edit Options"
3. Scroll down to "Default Thread Subscription Mode"
4. choose from menu how you would like the board to handle this for you. You can choose not to subscribe automatically, to subscribe but not receive an email, to receive an instant email, to receive a daily email or to receive a weekly email.
5. Scroll all the way to the bottom of the page and click on "save changes"

YOU MUST CLICK SAVE CHANGES OR THEY WILL NOT TAKE EFFECT.

Now I did this. Then I went through and mannually unsubscribed from all threads list in the CP. Still, after that I somehow got subcribed to another thread. Is there some tab or something I might have accidentally clicked to cause this?

At the top of this page (inside each thread). there is a menu option called "Thread Tools" There is an option to unsubscribe. I don't know why you keep getting subscribed, Once you've done the other two things.

This is just strange. I got subscribed to two more threads somehow. This one, I am certain that I never even entered since the last time I cleared out that que:
