Yay! This is exciting news!
So, we have a big Fair every year. Today was Fair day for the local handicapped development center. One of the little fellas got a bit overzealous at the top of the ferris wheel and decided to crawl out from under the restraint bar and tumbled halfway down the ferris wheel.
His escort/helper lady/handler whatever you call her tried to hold onto the guy but couldn't. And it was (almost) all caught on video. It's all very exciting.
Here's a link (http://64.22.203.66/metafiles/tue10p.wvx) to the local news stations archive feed. It should open in your default media viewer but I think it's the whole newscast. It buffered for about 30 seconds before playing on my DSL connection. The coverage starts at the very beginning of the stream, so you won't have to watch our terrible local news if you want to check it out.
He survived with minor scratches and bruises, so feel free to cackle in delight at the narrowly avoided tragedy.
