- I'm chomping at the bit to get the first MoonKnight, I've been collecting them for a long time. I've always thought this character could be Marvel's Batman if written well. Still think he hasn't found his apex as a character but by putting Finch on the title, it shows me Marvel is going to take him seriously.
Just can't wait!

I am very comfortable and excited by what Huston has to say about
Moon Knight. He is not blowing smoke up anyone's butt by saying
he know's and understands this character. There are 2 strong points from the interview reflect that:
1. "Moench painted a very clear picture of a man who was trying to
redeem himself. The irony being that he was trying to redeem a
violent past through acts of violence. I think you’d have to be a very
bad writer not to see the drama inherent in that conflict, and I’m
not one to look a gift horse like that in the mouth."
2. "Moench was very consistent in keeping Spector’s relationship
to Khonshu ambiguous. There was a constant tug-o-war within Spector
regarding his belief in Khonshu. I think a writer could choose to
stay that course or take either one of the turns off the road and have a great story to tell. As long as the belief, lack of belief or
ambiguity remains key to the character. Faith is just too strong of a
storytelling card to be ignored. And I’m not ignoring it. Khonshu
will be a factor. Real or not."
He truly understands the strong points of Moon Knight that define
him as a character and what sets him apart from other characters,
especially the often comparison to Batman. Moon Knight can be better than Batman if handled correctly, of course I am a little biased. The funny thing is; if you think it is funny, part of me does and part of me does not, his plot for this series is very similar to my proposal for the series. It's nice to see Marvel is taking this book very seriously. I am so excited by what this writer has to say and that Marvel picked Dave Finch as the artist, who is a Moon Knight fan as well, that I am busting at the seems to read this.

Finch is easily one of faveo(u)rite artists at the minute and am glad he's on the book. He's one hell of a cool looking character and would love to see his take on it.

I'm upset that Dave's leaving the New Avengers, but I'm sure he'll do just as great a job with Moon Knight.
