I am swearing off buying from Amazon.com merchants!

If I ever use Amazon.com again it'll be to buy something new ONLY from THEM specifically.

My second to the last order was for a Crossgen TP which was listed as "Acceptable condition" with absolutely no comments for $2. Once I finally received it, media mail took its sweet time about 2-weeks later, turns out the book was an ex-library copy with pages falling out of it. I wasn't expecting a nice condition book for $2, so I was very surprised when I recevied a book in the condiiton I tried to avoid most of all since other merchants had stated their copy's were ex-library w/ pages falling out. I wrote the merchant and inquired if there was amiskate in them sending a copy like I got and that I was not satisfied. They wrote back, no, and that since the book was listed in the poorest condition possible they were, in their mind, vindicated. The offered to take the book back but with a penalty cost for re-stock and no return shipping reimbursement. Well, I wrote back a nasty complaint letter and sucked up the lost of $5 or so. I realize now I could have taken the issue with Amazon.com customer service. I left bad feedback for the first time in the dozen or so times I have used an Amazon mechant. After that, the seller had a change of heart and wrote back they'd accept the book back, but I'd have to shell out money of my own for return shipping. In short, I told them no thanks, that I would not recommend them or ever buy from again, and I hoped their negative feedback was worth a $2 book. I explained I had more class than them as I destroyed the book trying to fix it and I wasn't about to return a book in condition different as when I got it, which was better than them for selling it. :blah:

My most recent tranaction I can't do anything about until July 27th. This new merchant ignores my emails and sent me the wrong Marvel G.I. : A Real American Hero TP. I ordered volume 5 and they sent volume 1. I spent $18 on this oder and there's no fricking way I'm chalking up a loss to it.

Add in the fact that I'm STILL waiting for my copy of The Line from Comixpress since before June and you have one very unhappy mutha who won't be ordering additional shit online for a long, long time. I sent in two inquiry's and STILL no comic book. :surrend:

In other news, today I received in the mail 2 of the 3 Star Wars cookie jars I ordered, and I completed my collection of Star Wars 12" ROTS figures--the last one Barriss Offee--by mail. And tomorrow I will be picking up 2-weeks worth of new comic book swag, probably over $200 worth, since my retailer was out of town for SDCC.
