Xavier -- I asked this before on another thread, but I'd be really interested to know what Gabriele's influences are in his art: what effects he's going for; artists that influenced his style: inflections in his work, etc.

Thanks!

132 page artbook? Very nice, though obtaining a copy in North America might be questionable.

Perhaps some of the art pieces could find their way into the SECRET WAR oversized hardcover? Nevermind the ignominious internet flak some give to creators over shipping delays, keep up the great work, Gabriele. You're producing fantastic, memorable work that will live on for years, especially in the aforementioned hardcover.

I ordered one that arrived yesterday. It's a fantastic book. Very well thought out in the chapter selection, or a more appropriate way of putting it; the chapter progression. I didn't realize Dell'otto had this much art to show. It's loaded with art. Great art! I also didn't realize that Dell'otto could draw a likeness to a real person. And I'm not sure why the notion of him capturing a likeness escaped me either. I was completely aware that he has carved, or again "more appropriately" painted out of a class all his own in comics; that is original in a sense that his work resembles no other IMHO. (I have gotten off track here) Back to painting a likeness. There are a few spots of Hugh Jackman as wolverine from X-MEN movies in there that blew me away. Also what I believe could be Dell'otto himself as wolverine, and an american indian with wolverine who's appearance resembles that of *Tara Patrick in a different piece. (*a very pretty / usually nude female) I'm liking the book better than Greg Horn's book. Just the way it is put together as a progression from pencil, to shaded, to painted, and then the explanations on technique, and materials is splendid. All art, or artists books could learn a thing, or two from the way this one is presented.
G - Dell'otto, my congratulations on a job well done. You definitely have a more than satisfied costumer in me. If you ever update, and release this book in english I will get it again.

Any idea if Gab is able to sell these books off his site?

I've looked extensively here in the US and I must say that this little gem is hard to come by.

Ebay is going to cost an arm and a leg shipping wise, all of the US book stores have had no luck locating this book.

Any suggestions?

Thanks.
