Got mine two days ago. I wish I had known there was a Hardcover edition before ordering it though. Not a big deal but I would have prefered the slipcased harcover.

Preordered this the day they went up. I have the hardcover and it's gorgeous. I can't recommend it enough if you like Timm's work. (And who doesn't?) The pieces range from doodles to fully realized illustrations and they're all worth study. (And not just because they're ladies.) It's a great companion to my Batman Animated and Shane Glines' Cartoon Retro hardcovers.

I got my hardcover edition a couple of weeks ago. If you can afford the hardcover, get it. The book is pretty thick and heavy and I think the binding in the hardcover will last a little longer.

So, just looking at his art, I see elements of Dan DeCarlo, Jack Cole, Eldon Didini, Phil Interlandi, Erich Sokol, Doug Sneyd, Kurtzman and Elder, Kirby, Romita the Elder, Kubert the Elder, and others.

Betty and Veronica as if they were Silver Age superheroines painted by Playboy cartoonists.
