Looking for a new lap top computer

My current lap top has just about had it. I'm looking for a new one, and I thought I would ask you guy for suggestions. I'm looking to keep it in the $1000 range. Do I go Mac or PC. Any suggestions would be appreciated. I'll mainly use it for Internet, job hunting etc. and for iTunes.

I just bought the Dell XPS 15, and it's a monster of a machine. Best full HD screen, excellent keyboard, insanely awesome JBL speakers (with a subwoofer!)... but I paid around $1,200 CAN for it. So worth it though.
