Just flew over my house. Its white tail was fanned out against the crystal blue sky - it was beautiful!
I wish I had a camera, but I grabbed the binoculars instead. Twice hawks (from two different locations, so I'm guessing it was two different hawks) came out and challenged it, but there was no contact between them. After the second hawk went after it, it soared even higher and headed west northwest, probably out to the Delaware Bay and then up the river. Great thing to see.
Also, I'm pretty sure it was eating a safeway chicken sammich.

You blew it out of the sky, right? That's the American Way.

I'm not your typical American, thank goodness.

Today I saw a Wasp and a Bee Fighting. Actually rolling over and over on the ground.
That's the only cool thing I've seen recently, wish i'd seen a bald Eagle though. Though what it'd be doing in Catalunya fuck knows.

We have a lot of hawks here, and on several occasions I've been looking out of my window and a hawk swoops down and takes a bird out at the feeder. I don't like to see things killed, but what the hawk is doing is nature at work, and it's fascinating. I've never had camera in hand when it's happened, though...I can only imagine how many hours I'd have to sit to catch something like that as it happens.
If ONLY our own eyes could record, playback, and transfer images to another medium. Would be great!

I don't think the technology for that is that far away, there's already quite a bit of work on interpreting optical signals that the brain receives in the area of sight restoration, small step from there to in-head storage and replay chips. For now there's already camera glasses.

You mean that I didn't think of it first. :(

I think it would be safe to say that you could probably find the idea in pre-50's SF :)

Drat.
Okay...how about my idea of finding a way for human waste to completely burn up inside so that we never have to poop again? I'm still working on the filtration system so that we don't have little puffs of smoke coming out our butts, but I'm getting there! :D

One of the ideas I had was an App for your phone where you could indicate your hobbies, likes, dislikes even sexual preferences if your so inclined. That would, if switched on, broadcast that to be seen by anyone with the same app on their phone who have matching interests and are in your defined area.
Actually, that's probably not such a good idea if I think about it, possibly open to abuse
