Queen Wants Lady Gaga as Its New Lead Singer
Could Gaga go from a lady to a Queen?
Guitarist Brian May has said that among the singers Queen's considered to front the band, Lady Gaga is a top contender. “We get a lot of offers to work with other people," May told Express. "I worked with Lady Gaga and she's very creative and is someone we've talked about singing, fronting the band with. She's not just a singer, she writes her own material.”And apparently Gaga is into the idea, as May noted that she confirmed "she would like to do something with us.”

I like my Gaga and I like my Queen ... but I'm not sure the two should ever meet.

Even Adam Lambert had the good grace to say "no".

I am going to be the wildcard here and say that I would ABSOLUTELY buy an album that was Lady Gaga fronting Queen. That sounds like it would rock.

I bet she could totally pull off the 'stache, though.

I'm not familiar enough with her, is her singing style well suited for rock? She won't be able to take shortcuts like using autotune.

Gaga really only uses autotune for the effect -- her voice is excellent, and well suited to rock.
I REALLY want to hear this.

It's when you say stuff like this to arouse me, that makes you so lucky that I just adore and respect Jenifu so much.
Because if I didn't I would have you.
Repeatedly.
Lady Gaga + Queen = Awesome.

I feel like, at this point, it should probably be "Lady Gaga Wants Queen as Her New Backing Band."

Very cool. I'm a big Queen fan so I'm interested in hearing this if it happens.
Bart makes a good point though, she could end up upstaging the band.

Gaga started singing with a band, in bars. Check youtube.
There is some history there.
I don't know if she can do Freddy, though.

Of course Lady Gaga wants to sing with Queen! She took her name from one of their songs, after all!

She did this early in the morning on Howard Stern after a period of protracted back-n-forth stress between their respective camps.

Interesting. I can almost see it. Certainly she's a great keyboard player, which fits, and she's got the eccentricity needed for Queen's 'frontman'. I jsut cant quite match the genres. She is all about the pop, with a strong dance clib thing, and Queen is epic guy rock mixed with strong romanticism and musical theater (well, they actually have that part in common, don't they).
If she tries to use an autotune though she'll lose me entirely.

Could be interesting. But why call it Queen? They could do a project together, under a different name, and it would probably spare them the backlash from the "OMG! This bitch will NEVER replace Freddie!" crowd.

Lady Gaga is already a tribute to Freddie, Bowie, and Madonna anyway. This will Rock Emoticon so hard.
If John Deacon's on board, then I'll give it a chance (John Deacon is never coming back).
