His body would be cold by now.

Well, I actually presume he's probably been cremated by now.

That steel apple about to fall on his head will probably give him a concussion.

Bluewater probably had the book finished months ago.

Wonder how hard his family will sue Bluewater?

They should do a crossover where Steve Jobs and the chick who wrote Twilight battle Betty White.

They can't.

They can't.

They absolutely can. Should they is a separate question.

I thought his being a public figure makes it allowable?

I think Kim Kardashian's the only person whose behind is a public figure.

It's really insensitive of them to remind everyone that he was once alive.

Not really. Unauthorized biographies of public figures are published all the time. Cases can be made for libel if things are inaccurate enough.

For what? Putting pictures to what is pretty much a Wikipedia entry?

I'm sure not going to

So, this has been solicited since June. And a portion of proceeds are going to pancreatic cancer research.

Do these guys have a bad rep or something?

Apple is anti-philanthropy. It's totally appropriate to sue someone donating proceeds to The American Cancer Association.

Yeah. It is a bio comic and they are donating some profits to the American Cancer Society.

I believe I have read they have issues with paying creators

Their comics are awful, most of them are gimmicks, riding on the coattails of current trends. The comics I've read from them were painfully bad.

They're donating more to cancer research than Jobs ever did!

Didn't the Twilight author's bio comic end with a bunch of vampires reading it saying, "Yes Stephanie Meyer! Keep writing Twilight! Now NO ONE WILL BELIEVE IN VAMPIRES!" It was odd.

Bluewater in general is odd. I wonder what their margins are.

These yahoos have problems paying creators and they can't be making much money on all these shitty bio comics. Assuming they donate anything you really think Jobs has never given anything to Cancer charities?

Like I said, they have every right to file a lawsuit claiming whatever they think fits. Whether they A) they would win, or B) they should go after a publisher who's going to make a couple thousand dollars off a comic book, when said family members have millions upon millions sitting in the bank is a completely different story.

But saying they could sue usually implies a case with some merit they would stand a chance of winning. They don't. They wouldn't file because you cannot successfully sue over an unauthorized biography unless you have a case for libel.
