Seriously, your take on Supergirl has made me fall in love with the character all over again. I am really hoping the September relaunch doesn't let me down!

I'm thinking good thoughts! I didn't watch Smallville, so I don't know the work of the gentlemen who are taking the reigns, but Wil Moss is a good guy and I have high hopes.

That's good to know. I already had hopes, now they are much higher! :)

I enjoyed it, I was never much of a fan. The story reminded me of the fun that I used to get from Peter David's Young Justice. I hope you get some more DC stories and write as well on those.

My two favorite things written about the Supergirl arc are:

DeConnick...seems to like to turn standard story tropes on their head. Supergirl rescues the boy in peril, the cover has her seemingly waking him with a kiss like Sleeping Beauty, and in the end Kara is the one who has to leave after that final romantic embrace. The goofy comic relief friend winds up being heroic rather than cowardly and stupid, the team of friends do some rescuing instead of having to be rescued, and the good looking lead male character isn't the savior in the end. For a story that seems pretty traditional at first glance there were a lot of things that weren't standard issue.

and the entirety of this:

Jinkies! A Beginner's Guide... (http://comicstheblog.com/?p=3268)

(The "This is Not My Life" title is actually a reference to the Sterling Gates run that used "this is my life" as part of intro. Any similarity to the Talking Heads is awesome, but unintentional.)

Do you know what you would do if you had the ability to shape Supergirl from ground zero?
