It is funny none the less.

If only they had paid as much attention to the illegal activity they were supposed to be overseeing, as they did to watching for some attacks by shaving foam.

Are you the type of person that says "Why aren't you out there catching the REAL criminals!" when you get pulled over for speeding?

If anybody is responsible for today's "Culture of Hate" it's people like master media manipulator and politically-polarizing hate-profiteer Mr. Rupert "Couldn't Have Happened to a More Deserving Target" Murdoch himself.

Murdoch purposely spread misinformation and outright lies disguised as news 24 hours a day to widen political divisions in an attempt to put people into power that would protect his monetary and corporate interests. He is actively working to destroy the middle and working class by turning the poor and the middle class against themselves while he and the Koch brothers laugh all the way to the bank.

Do I condone a pie in his face? Fuck that, I condone somebody shooting the fucker in the face with a shotgun. I'm not going to do it, I'm not going to tell somebody to do it, but if somebody does it, I will consider that person a hero.

Well...

After entering the United States, Deng lived with the Cherry family for a while when attending university. Mrs. Cherry suspected her husband was having an affair with Deng (30 years his junior) and demanded she leave the house. Mr. Cherry soon followed and moved in with her.[5] The two married in 1990.[4] Deng and Cherry's marriage lasted 2 years and 7 months before they were legally divorced,[5] but he would later explain they only stayed together for 4 or 5 months,[4] after which he learned of the extramarital relationship Deng had with David Wolf.[4] Nonetheless, she had been able to secure a green card through being legally married to Cherry.[4][5]

In 1997, Deng met Rupert Murdoch at a company party in Hong Kong.[6] Deng and Murdoch married in 1999,[13] less than three weeks after his divorce from ex-wife Anna Maria Torv Murdoch Mann was finalized.[13] They live in Manhattan with their two daughters: Grace Helen Murdoch (born 2001) and Chloe Murdoch (born 2005). Deng is pro-vegan.

Sure, but a good old fashioned pie to the face is by far the least dangerous way to be assaulted. If it were me, I'd probably be licking my face off and smiling at the person that threw it.

What's gonna be sad is the person that did this will probably face a stiffer sentence for attacking a famous person when, if you believe in things in degrees, they should face less time because they never physically harmed him, or really even try to harm him, they just tossed a pie at him.

News Corp. chief Rupert Murdoch exhibited “willful blindness” toward the behavior of News of the World staffers in the lead-up to the British phone hacking scandal, according to a report released Tuesday by a committee of British legislators.

The cross-party culture, media and sport committee concluded that Murdoch is “not a fit person” to lead a major multinational company, the Guardian reports, although one of the committee’s Conservative members of parliament disagreed with that depiction at a news conference following the report’s release.

The report is the product of a years-long investigation into allegations that the tabloid’s staff had for years been hacking into the phone messages of celebrities and crime victims in the pursuit of news scoops.

Here are some other highlights from the report:

●The panel rejected Murdoch’s explanation that he was unaware that hacking was widespread at the News of The World, blaming his staff for keeping him in the dark, the AP reports.

●The committee said that former News of The World editor and current New York Daily News editor Colin Myler, and the News of The World’s lawyer Tom Crone misled the committee about the extent of the hacking. “Both Tom Crone and Colin Myler deliberately avoided disclosing crucial information to the Committee and, when asked to do, answered questions falsely,” they wrote.

The AP reports that in a statement, Myler said he stood by his evidence and believed ongoing British police inquiries would “establish the truth” of his account. “I have always sought to be accurate and consistent in what I have said to the committee,” Myler said.

●The panel concluded that Les Hinton, a former executive chairman of News International, was “complicit” in a cover-up of wrongdoing at the media empire, the Guardian reports. The committee further condemned Hinton’s decision to provide severance pay to Clive Goodman, the former royal editor convicted of phone hacking in 2007.

The pie's to the face is an old thing here in Canada. There is a group that does it to politicians who they feel are acting with impunity, as if there are above everybody.

It's a harmless way of bringing them down. Typically the reaction is anger over being humiliated with a pie to the face (which kinda makes their point). Some make a joke out of it though.
