I think we need a topic. Little empty in here so far.

I can't say how much I enjoyed Supergirl 65... but I'll try. It had a sense of... I guess "fun" might be a good word... I haven't seen in Supergirl in a long time. Lois Lane almost seemed to be speaking as the voice of the readership with that. To be honest, can't say I was in love with the art, but the script was dead on. Distinct, interesting characters, quickly established (and maybe I have to give some on the art--because even though there were some slightly over the top expressions on characters, it DID help establish each character's uniqueness visually really quickly).

On the down side, there was also the weird intrusive Subway Ad... but I DO get its a good way to make DC some money. I wish it had been one page, like the cheesy old Hostess ads though--that I could have dealt with.

Looking forward to the 2 coming issues.

Thanks! When I'm at my keyboard I'll talk a little more about the expressiveness.

I think that's on me; I think I could have researched Cross' style a little more and tailored my scripts to him better.

Kelly Sue,
You must know that your Supergirl was the first comic that Susan read since childhood days of Little Lulu, Archie and the rest. The other was Screamland. Thank you for writing a script that got her into reading comics.

I'm greatly amused that my elevator pitch of this comic is "one part Real Genius, one part Pamela Dean's Tam Lin." Dean's book is a modern fantasy novel set at a tiny liberal-arts college (think the Great Books schools like St. Johns or Shiner), wherein the plucky protagonist learns that her classmates are, in fact, much weirder than your average Classics majors. The antagonists in Tam Lin are much less explicit than would fly in a Supergirl comic, but the vibe is similar.

Ha! Awesome. Mine would probably be The Goonies meets The Secret History.
