If only there were one or more threads dedicated to talking about DC and its reboot.

Good looking out.

I'd assume dead. First, it's not a DC property. They are currently licensing it, just like they are doing with the First Wave stuff, and the Red Circle stuff. And none of those books have been hits. They only buzz this book has is Nick Spencer, and he's probably done with it after the first arc anyway.

If this new "DC REBOOT" is about bringing DC franchises to the forefront, then I don't see why they'd bother with more T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents.

Spencer can't write it anymore due to his contract, most likely, and he's the only reason DC kept it running this long given the sales - an investment in a hot new writer.

Oh, well. One more jumping off point. It was fun while it lasted.

I guess we'll see. They could just hold off on it. I don't see how the book couldn't just continue like MG does.

Because DC owns THUNDER Agents.

He was just announced as the artist (with Bit) on Grifter today. :)

He'll be on the Grifter series. Which should be a fantastic fit.

re: Cafu

Oh cool.

People keep talking about new books but nobody's giving links to the websites announcing it, so I didn't know this before.

I don't go to Newsarama ever since they gave me a virus.

DCU's Source blog usually announces stuff first.

DC is licensing it no? And I mean if they wanna keep Spencer on it, they could just have it continue during September.

The odds are, his contract states he can't do any work for DC, with the exception of his current Thunder Agents story. That's usually how exclusives work. And the story ends in August.

iFanboy has a pretty good round-up of the DC reboot announcements.

F.Y.I., I think T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents is D.O.A.

from Bleeding Cool, June 19, 2011 (http://www.bleedingcool.com/2011/06/19/more-from-the-dc-retailer-roadshow/)

THUNDER Agents will return, and yes, will still have Nick Spencer writing.

Batman Odyssey, THUNDER Agents will join Batman Inc in returning, October or later. They didn’t restart but were also not part of the Relaunch, so skipped September.
