Asheville is a CRAZY good food town, it's lovely and the restaurants are amazing.
People kept recommending a place called SALSA's, which sounds, sorry, really boring. Mexican food, eh, it's never my absolute favorite and we rarely see anything really exciting.
We were WRONG.
It was Mexican-Carribean fusion, a funky little place. Amazing, amazing.
My dinner came in this big huge bowl made from lava rock...it was boiling hot, with chicken, fresh veggies, and perfectly cooked shrimp all in a curry broth that got MORE DELICIOUS as it settled in the bowl.
Possibly the second or third best meal I've ever had, and I've eaten at some of the finest restaurants all over the world.
YUM!
