He feuded with Undertaker in the Fall of '09.
There's the potential for a quality angle, but I can't help feeling a bit weary about the prospect of Vince becoming a permanent fixture of television again, especially if it's to feud with John Cena (who just doesn't pull off that anti-authority role well).
Oh, that's right. Montreal Screwjob v. 3.2.11.
Cena doesn't necessarily have to be in the anti-hero role. It could be Punk.

If you just took Hogan off iMPACT as well as changing Sting out of this ridiculous character this would be a decent show. I enjoyed most of the show tonight.
Yeah, I watched most of iMPACT for the first time in many, many months. Great X-division matches. And I like the Bound for Glory series...although their leaders are my least favorites (Morgan, Gunner, and Crimson). It's cool that they count their house show matches and show high-lights.

How about the mystery GM be CM Punk? It gives him some ammunition to fight back against Vince with and it actually sorta explains kinda the inconsistency of the Anon GM's actions (going back and forth between favoring heels and or faces and shit). How? Because Punk just wants there to be conflict- wrestling, in the 'E. He doesn't really care if that favors the good guys or the bad guys, he just wants maximum conflict and wrestling. That's why he makes returning legends guest refs and shit too, to get them back in the ring.

I have absolutely no interest in RVD/Lynn 2011. Van Dam's not shown any of that fire he once had during his tenure with TNA. He's been even sloppier than usual. I haven't cared about Lynn since, uh, ECW (he bored the hell out of me in WWE as a soon-to-be-forgotten Light Heavyweight Champion). He's a really good (and broken) worker who happens to be boring as fuck.
Low-Ki and Aries leaves me (mildly) intrigued. Perhaps I'll care enough to pirate it.

Everyone is missing the big story here. If Cena loses he will be FIRED!! As in no longer wrestling for WWE. This has never happened before....Cena being FIRED! It's not like he's been fired before, like oh say.....a few months ago in which he didn't miss a single episode of Raw in order to even sell the fact he was supposed to be fired, this is a brand new threat and one that carries serious repercussions. I mean if he's fired, it may be like an entire night before we see him on Raw again.
or it could be the long-awaited return of Juan Cena. :D

Here's the final card for Destination X:
TNA X Division Title Match
Brian Kendrick vs. Abyss
Ultimate X for the #1 Contendership
Robbie E. vs. Alex Shelley vs. Shannon Moore vs. Amazing Red
Winner Gets X Division Contract
Austin Aries vs. Jack Evans vs. Zema Ion vs. Low Ki
Daniels vs. AJ Styles
Kazarian vs. Samoa Joe
Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn
Open Challenge from Douglas Williams
I wonder what the buyrate's going to be for this since it features none of TNA's "top talent". (Notice, I used quotes, because I'm not implying that none of these guys are talented, I'm just saying that aside from Rob Van Dam and Abyss, it feels like it could be a Ring of Honor show. No Sting, Anderson, Angle, Steiner, Hardys).
I think the #1 contender match could be the sleeper here, and it's the one I'm most interested in seeing. I might watch.

fantasy booking, next round: :D
Punk wins and leaves, Cena's fired - rematch at Gathering of the Juggalos.
no ?
okay, then ...
Punk wins. Vince asks Punk what he wants to stay. Punk says he don't want Cena fired, he's not the problem. Vince is. Punk only stays if Vince steps down. Vince says he won't leave without a fight. hey, there's a idea. Punk says he's a wrestler, so let's wrestle. Punk vs. Vince, loser leaves WWE.
Vince gets backed up by Steph and HHH. Cena's in Punk's corner. at the end Steph/HHH turn on Vince. Punk wins, turns out he was in cohorts with Steph/Hunter all along, all just to get rid of Vince.
cena stands alone in the ring, looking confused.

You missed the greatness that was his match on Impact this week against Roode. In the initial exchange he met a charging Roode with a stiff shoulder which Roode sold for the remainder of the match, even after the loss. A simple move we see every week in a million matches and yet from Crimson it was so devastating that Roode had to sell it for the entire match. A FUCKING shoulder charge.

Hmmm not sure to be honest. I don't watch TNA enough to keep all the storylines straight in my head. But if that were the case they could have showed a better way for him to capitalize on the shoulder then a running charge from the first exchange. A missed charge into the corner maybe? A charge on the outside into the ringpost? A cheap move by Crimson? Its ring psychology 101.

I can't imagine the road agent being so thorough/attention-oriented that he include a nuanced little reference to Bobby Roode's prior injury. Plus, if they did, it'd have to be played up on commentary. Apparently, that didn't happen. So it wasn't planned. And without Tenay and Tazz giving context/backstory for why he sold it the entire time, fans would likely have forgotten Roode's time off and the reason for it.
I can't believe I just typed out a paragraph about a shoulder block in a TNA match. Like, fuck, this isn't boarding hard. This is everything I wanted to avoid.

Welp... Fine. But 4Chan didn't have the honor of starting the whole 'Meg White sex tape' scandal.
Thus, clearly http://i.imgur.com/pbriL.gif > 4Chan

Maybe he framed someone for murder, but it was noble, as it protected someone else! Now he rates restaurants. John Cena probably eats at restaurants. This could lead to a dramatic vignette where, as Husky asks the waitress for the bill, she brings him a glass of alcohol. "I didn't order this," he says, bewildered. She smiles warmly (that combination of downhome charm and "please tip well" faux-kindness) and points to a table adjacent to his. "A gentleman ordered it for you. Complements of Mr. Cena at the table near the exit." She points to a man shrouded in a long trench coat with nothing showing but brim of a protruding forehead and a sliver of jean short sticking out. The shadowy figure nods to our hero.
"He sent a greeting too, sir. 'Here's a drink to honesty.'" Husky shiver the kind of shiver that ripples throughout the entirety of his rubenesque body. Cena knows. Tense showdown at his job. Cena's taken the fight straight to Husky

RUSSO TWIST: turns out that the chef of that restaurant is sous chef Derrick Bateman...who happened to witness the murder cover-up from years past.
Plus, the waitress is, like, sleeping with Cena or something, but she'll turn on him to protect Husky (because she falls for him or something).
TWIST II: Husky gives the restaurant a poor review, citing subpar service. This prompts the waitress to do a double turn and align with Bateman.

Mark Henry should be a love-lorn man pining for Gail Kim, who see's him purely as a friend. This platonic relationship kills Mark inside, as she dates others and goes to him for solace after being scorned by the dregs of WWE's lockerroom. While providing a shoulder for her, he hopes someday, she'll realize he loves her and wants to bone her and maybe eat several large steaks in her presence.
One day, after she experiences rejection from another man, he rebound fucks her, and she too develops feelings, but they must cross the hurdle of her traditional Korean parents who harbor resentment over her choice of a beau. This becomes a multi-racial angle that explores certain deep-seeded prejudices and really opens wrestling fans eyes to both blossoming love and racial tensions.

Ron Simmons should manage Trent Barreta. Eventually, it's revealed that Simmons is Barreta's biological father. There's a reoccurring gag in which everyone in the locker room always asks "how can you guys be father and son." They'll always answer with something to the effect of "yeah, I'm so much more handsome, it's crazy," or "right?! He's so much smaller than I am," while staying oblivious to the differing skin color thing.
Ron will push Trent to be a bigger star than him, and unknowingly lives vicariously through his son. It's implied through promos and such that Trent never wanted this life, and keeps up the facade to please his father. Finally, Baretta loses his first match in weeks and is severely admonished by his father in the middle of the ring. Trent gets on the mic and cuts a promo on him, shouting "this wasn't what I wanted! This is your life! When do I get to make mine?" The only thing Simmons can say in response is "damn!"
Nation music hits. D'lo and Kama come out and offer Trent some prostitutes to change his mind, as a favor to their ol' pal Farooq. Trent tells them all the worn out snatch in the world can't change his mind. Cliffhanger: is this the end of Trent Baretta in WWE?!

What was the purpose? Obviously, they wanted to write Paul Bearer out, but in doing so, it made Undertaker appear heelish, and they never followed up on it. Like, if he's exorcising his past or becoming more aggressive or whatever, I guess I could understand, but there was hardly an explanation.

If Taker lost to the Dudleys, Bearer was to be buried alive in the concrete. He lost, but the live crowd didn't seem him actually get buried. He was in the crypt on the set, and they poured concrete on him, but never past his neck. As the show ended, they didn't even bother to roll him away before releasing him from the contraption. It was a very weird ending to a terrible PPV. I've never seen such a silent and perturbed audience.

Okay, I'm watching SD now, and I'm pretty bored by Orton/Christian, in spite of their awesome matches. It's even starting to make me reevaluate my initial perception of the feud (I thought it was done well). Like, I was surprised by how simple and sensical it was, but that doesn't necessarily make it good. I was swayed simply because, you know, it had a semi-logical, linear story progression, as if they planned it. That's cool, but other than that first heel turn promo, Christian hasn't shined in the role, and Randy's been pretty insipid. I don't know. They're just cycling through the story beats.

As much as I hated All Stars this game looks even worse. What's more is this game doesn't even look like WWE characters. Was the guy with the hat supposed to be Cena? Just wasn't for me. I'm not a fighting game fan outside Street Fighter and for wrestling games I prefer a more realistic sim than beat-em-up game. I know the reviews were okay, but I hated everything about the demo.
Still I can see what people other than me liked about All-stars. This looks unplayable if it is real.

After a certain point, I'm not sure FCW really helps guys improve. So many dudes would be better off being fired and having to work their way back to the WWE. Working Puerto Rico, Japan, Mexico, or the indies would give a lot of these bland dudes more seasoning and it would weed out the shitty football player-types that have no love for pro wrestling.
