I love the texture on the second one. I love seeing the handmade texture in a sculpture. A lot of current busts and sculptures are to smooth for me.

Yeah I agree. I see alot of shitty sculpture in Art school, but stuff like that never ceases to catch my eye the most.

There is one girl in my ceramics class that spends days smoothing her projects out. They already looked bad but it doesn't help when she takes the handmade quality out of the equation.
