If something huge doesn't happen in this coming episode as a result of Jessie's carelessness, then a) they're better at belaying confrontation than I thought (they almost always are) and b) they could probably go on as long as they wanted. I guess my only problem is that since ep 1 of season 4, we've been in this tight little corner with Walt and co. If they're openly talking at least 20 more episodes, then we have some idea that our leads are going to escape this alive (to whatever degree "living" is for them now). It's not that I don't want more, it's not that I'm not happy to see them go on, it's that is maybe the worst time for your audience to receive this information.

I agree with you. It totally lessens the tension when you know the series is getting 2 more season. To be honest I was surprised to hear they wanted that many more. Gilligan said that season 5 was potentially the last one. But I'm gonna try to keep this information out of my mind while I watch this season.

Perhaps, and I wouldn't be surprised if that all came from him (it echoed his WTF interview), but the fact that he did it in "enemy camp" kind of mitigates much of the negative. Nick DiPaulo's honesty didn't come off well last season either, but I respect that he let that air on a show run by someone with an opposing viewpoint.

Good morning everybody. This weekend was really nice.
Friday: Went to Dinner and the Drive-In on Friday and saw two GREAT movies (Rise of the Planet of the Apes and Horrible Bosses).
Saturday: Watched a few episodes of Spectacular Spider-Man (it's sad that I'm almost through it all), then went out with some friends. I tried vodka flavored whipped cream. I highly recommend it/advise against it.

What up folks?
Friday, I worked all day and then went to the city. Met up with Mike D. and Chris for dinner which was awesome. I can say that I've had fish tacos now. Delicious. Then the drink up was pretty fucking awesome. I had a great time.
Saturday. Woke up at 8am did nothing pretty much all day. Ate at this place called Taco Joes, which was really good and filling. Was gonna see Rise of the Planet of the Apes but the showing was sold out so I went home and went to hang out with friends and ended up having a great night.
Sunday I slept til 130pm, went to see Rise of the Planet of the Apes with my mom, dad, and brother. Then we went to eat at a diner. At night I went to do laundry with my dad.
I was woken up at 1030am to come into work an hour early. So I'm at work now because the library is holding the end of summer reading party. YAY! :(

I've had a pretty crap weekend. Jenny's been sick, and I've been trying to take care of her. Didn't go anywhere. Didn't do anything. Went out last night to get food, and hopped in the elevator. Hadn't showered in 2 days, exhausted, demoralized. Found myself sharing the elevator with these two skinny, giggling cunts, and their mail order Sex-In-The-City Gay BFF, who stopped talking as soon as I got on, and then starting making faces and snickering behind my back. Great. Thanks for being complete bitches to me. Just what I needed to feel good about myself.

Hello!
Friday-I was supposed to go to Pittsburgh for a Pirates game, but something came up with my cousin and he wasn't going to be able to make it, so my brother and I just decided to scrap it. After my cousin did his work stuff, we just hung out and grabbed some food and drank early afternoon beers. Went out to dinner that night and that was about it.
Saturday-Saw Cowboys & Aliens with my cousin. I thought it was pretty fun and the title perfectly explained what to expect should you buy a ticket and sit down to watch it.
Sunday-Did nothing. Read comics and laid on the couch.
Today-Really fucking busy. Taking Thursday and Friday off from work so I'm busting my ass to get as much done as possible, since my boss is also leaving for Las Vegas on Wednesday.

We Netflixed Hall Pass. It was relatively funny, although in messed up ways. I didn't see until the end that it was a Farrelly Bros. movie so that explained why it was messed up.
Also watched Source Code. It was okay, but a little messed up when you see Jake in the real world thingy.
We also fed the baby, ate, and slept. New parenthood ftw. :D

I saw Planet of the Apes last night. It was OK, definitely a special effects Oscar contender. It's one of those movies where you have to just go with it, because when it morphs out Flowers For Monkeynon and turns into Escape From Apecatraz the silly starts piling up pretty fast. It would be pretty laughable except the director does a great job coordinating the last act mayhem, and Serkis brings so much soul and depth to his performance that he flatly refuses to lose your empathy. Worth a look for sure.
It's probably a good film to watch on the heels of Project Nim, just so you can get a happier ending to the same story.

It was actually more than just bombing, which I did in spades thanks to 3 hecklers being part of a crowd of 10. It was the fact that I put the show together, I orchestrated everything, I got us mentions in about three local publications in DC, I was coordinating with the venue, coordinating with the comics, doing just about everything humanly possible to make the show a success.
Come Friday, 10 people show up and three of the audience just thought it would be fucking hilarious to heckle every comic to the point of making the show unwatchable. Christ. I'm never running a fucking show again. I'm done with that shit.

Hey everybody!
Thursday-I went to Darien Lake amusement park. That place is a fucking death trap just waiting to snap it's jaws closed on everybody there. I went with my cousin Brian, and my cousin Pete and his wife Dawn. We get to the park and head to the Predator, which is a wooden roller coaster. We are just about to get on when they announce there is something wrong with the ride and we'll have to wait. 10 minutes pass, and we are allowed to get on. The fucking ride tosses you all over the place. I think if you rode it 5 times in a row, you could break a bone. Now, I'm not a huge roller coaster guy. I can do one ride with a loop, and that's about it. So we do that, and Pete and I decide we're done. His wife and brother decide they want to ride The Viper. They get in line, and we wait. And wait. And wait. Oh, hey! The ride is broken with people STUCK in the cars! So they come back and we decide to go do the water slides and kill time before the show. The water slides were better than the rides. We get ready, and the giant Ride of Steel (which, when this was Six Flags Darien Lake, was called Superman Ride of Steel. I think Six Flags realized this place is a disaster waiting to happen and nixed the deal.) Anyway, that thing is stuck halfway up the first giant hill. Those people are their for an hour! And then finally had to get out and walk down the tracks. We went to the concert and had a really awesome time. Lawn seats so we could relax and lots of ($11 24oz) beers. Blink played a ton of older stuff and some of their new stuff. Fun times!
Friday-I was a little hungover so I just slept in the backseat and listened to podcasts.
The rest of the weekend was just running errands and hanging out.

Dude! I'm so sorry! I was going to PM you my number so we could try and meet up, but Wednesday was super busy and then it totally just got forgotten. My bad dawg!
Blink was awesome and they actually sounded good. MCR, who I'm not that big of a fan of, sounded pretty fucking horrible though. Whoever did their sound should get kicked in the balls.

They used to have this indoor glow in the dark Twilight Zone roller coaster near me at Kings Dominion. Whenever you went on it, you'd come off with neck pain. They had to shut it down due to injuries sustained from it.

It's all good, buddy. I figured you were probably busy.
I'm a big MCR fan, and you could tell they had audio problems right off the bat. It felt like it got a lot better a couple songs in, though.

This ride literally just tosses you into the person next to you, and then slams you into the side of the car. And then into the lap bar. My cousin said this after we got off "You know, I know they are all over the place, and people ride them all the time, but there is no way these things should fucking work!"

Yeah, some songs were better than others. At one point during the concert some ushers asked us if we wanted to move closer to the stage, but then we would have had to pack up all our stuff. We were comfortable and didn't want to move.

We were out on the lawn. It's always a risky gamble, but it's cheaper and you get a pretty fun experience. You also get contact high.

This weekend, I put together a lot of stuff.
Saturday the baby slept good so we got to sleep til noon (getting up to feed him every 3 hrs). It was glorious. Then my parents came over and watched him while my wife and I went to spend the money and gift cards people sent us. New silver trash can for the kitchen to match everything (40 bucks! But whatever makes her happy), mattress for the crib, and a new rocking chair. That night I put the rocker together and it is very nice. It even holds my fat behind.
Yesterday he was a little fussier... Especially right before midnight, took him forever to go to sleep. Started the crib finally. Got two sides of it together. It was being a jerk and I decided to take a break til this afternoon for it.
The boy is being a lot more observant though. He notices a lot more things when he is awake. It is really cool.

I feel like there would have to be an instance where a couple got off that ride and were just like "Your rollie coaster knocked my wife up!"

I love lawn seating! You aren't crowded in with a bunch of assholes and can get up to get more booze and use the bathroom easily. Yeah, I smelled a lot of that. About 7 security guards met up right near us and took off towards one part of the crowd. Not sure what happened there.

Yeah, I think some asshats might have gotten into a fight. Gotta love that.

I think Jamie Rich's super power is to find talented, manga-influenced young women and then to make comics with them.
Joe Hill retweeted something I said on Twitter today. That made me feel good.

Good afternoon! Spent the weekend in Boston with my good friend from high school and her family, saw her husband star in Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead (and he was great, relief!).
My blast from the past pop culture review:
I've gotten caught up about halfway through the Matt Smith Doctor Who stuff. Matt Smith is a decent choice with the right material, but I'm not crazy about Karen Gillian/Amy Pond ("I'm Scottish. Hi, are you Scottish? Did I mention yet that I'm Scottish?"). The writing seems to have taken a sudden dip in quality: another companion runn oft with The Doctor right before her wedding? Amy tries to sacrifice herself almost every episode? The Weeping Angels were incredibly creepy in the one off episode, but not as a recurring adversary.

It gets better, in my opinion. By the end of the season, it is quite wonderful, I thought.
