Through my work we were offered by the US. Army a free training exercise and a free jump (attached to someone else of course.).

It was a free opportunity and I've never been skydiving so I'm have crapping myself and half ecstatic.

Has anyone tried it?

Tips suggestions?

And please do no leave asshole responses unless they are entertaining. :-?

don't put ketchup on your chute. or do. But really, if you could go back in time and save one skydiver, who would it be?

Just remember when you're free falling the thing poking you in the back is most definitely the other guys penis.

It's a blast. Dress warm. It gets cold as hell.

That first step out the door is one of the most surreal sensations
Biggest surprise - the blast of cold wet air flooding your face
It all goes by really fast and then the drift down is a real treat.

All said, I'd do it again just so my mind can have another shot at taking it all in.

Have fun and report back!

It's one of the coolest things you'll ever experience. Ask your partner if you can exit the plane in an awesome way (backflips, cartwheels, etc.)

The scariest and most exciting part is stepping up that edge and jumping into nothing. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. Just listen to your tandem instructor and ask lots of questions.

Other than that, ENJOY IT.

My wife got me a pass last year for my birthday and I have two years to use it. I'm hoping to use it this fall as a reward for getting back in shape.

I hope you have a great time. Let us all know how it goes!

Seriously - it felt like my animal brain couldn't compute it.
