The catch is that it's at C2E2. Oh, and you gotta have two "chaperones" of CB Cebulski and Joe Quesada. ;)
From C2E2's website:
C2E2 kicks off Friday, March 18th, but when the sun goes down and the show floor closes, we want to keep the party going and have reservations at one of the hottest restaurants in town with some of the most well-known people in the comic biz. And we want you to join us! We’ve setup a five course meal with wine pairing at Topolobampo, owned by Top Chef Master Rick Bayless. If this award-winning restaurant doesn’t entice you enough, wait until you hear who you'll be dining with...
CB Cebulski, writer and talent scout extraordinaire hosts this once-in-a-lifetime dinner with Brian Michael Bendis, award-winning comics creator and a writer who's reshaped the Marvel universe, and Chief Creative Officer of Marvel Entertainment, Joe Quesada. Yeah, that's right. This is your chance to be wined and dined with some of the most important people in comics. It all takes place at 8pm on Friday, March 18th and includes a five course meal and wine pairing. It is open to only eight fans. The cost is $500, but the opportunity is priceless.
Tickets will go on sale Thursday, January 27th at Noon, Central Time right here at www.C2E2.com. There are only 8 spots available so plan your reservation now. Please note, though, you must be 21 or older and present a valid ID to attend the dinner.

Give a video camera to Cebulski and make it a threesome with Quesada!
win/win!

Ugh. Why couldn't it have been Alonso and Fraction?
Alonso is so dreamy.

Dinner with Bendis, sounds cool, just got to remember to not to put any part of your body between him a chick-fil-a club sandwich

I was first going to say "Depends on what he's going to make me."
Then I thought "Actually, I'd rather have Cebulski take me out to dinner or make me dinner."
Then I read where you get to go and that Cebulski and Quesada will also be there.
Um, so yeah. I would like to have dinner with them.

Well, the closest Chick-fil-a is about 20 miles away from where the con is being held at...
Seems like a lot of people may end up getting hurt.

Bendis is done with Chick-fil-A. But for an extra $250, Bendis will take you back to his hotel and cook you his homemade tastes-just-like-Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich.

This doesn't seem like the kind of place that's going to be cool with Bendis wearing jorts to dinner.

Maybe I missed something, but is this a charity thing, or is it purely for profit?

why spend $500 when you can just hang out at a Chic-Fil-A for a few hours until Bendis shows up?

For those interested, here's the link to Rick Bayless' restaurant: Topolobampo (http://www.rickbayless.com/restaurants/topolobampo.html).
I have not been to this one, but I have been to Frontera Grill. It's truly a culinary experience you will not forget.

It seems like that's something that they would mention before people start writing checks for $500. I think someone spending that amount of money would probably want to know that it's going to a cause they support.

I just hope that everyone involved that's going likes seafood.... That's mainly what Topolobampo serves.
And I think C2E2 did something like this last year and that it was for a charity of some sort. Though I might be misremembering.

I can't imagine that's a cheap restaurant to eat at. I imagine one $500 purchase is paying for 2 meals?
I doubt it's for profit, it may be just to cover cost.

It's for charity. The group that did this last year (CB, Brevoort and someone else from Marvel [can't remember] and the five winners) said it was absolutely amazing. They all showed up at the Marvel party afterwards and were raving about it.

For some reason I think it was Jeph Loeb....
