I've seen it a few times before, but it's been probably a year or so. But I noticed something this time that I really hadn't ever put much thought into before.
The scene where Elaine finds out that the woman Ben has been having an affair with is her own mother. Mike Nichols leaves the camera on a close up of Katharine Ross's face after Anne Bancroft walks away. It starts out way of focus, and he takes about 20 ir 30 seconds to pull her face completely into focus.
I've decided that that might be the most perfect moment in all of film.

Katherine Ross, in that film, is the best looking woman I've ever seen.

I think she looked better in BUTCH CASSIDY AND THE SUNDANCE KID.

my fav GRADUATE moment is right at the end, when they're on the bus.
at first they looked relieved and happy, but then this look of "oh shit ,what's next?" comes over both of them.
Nichols talked about it, on INSIDE THE ACTORS STUDIO
