My wife's an attorney. We never ran a full background check, but she knows were to find public information - so we did looked to see what/ how much information is out there on us. There's surprisingly a lot. That was a couple of years ago.

Even not being a professional, there are websites out there that will pull together from the web, all of the information publicly available to you - social networking, e-mail addresses, public records. Its scary, and crazy easy. It will make you want to reconsider what you say/ do both online and off.

I do it at work all the time. I just have them sign a form and submit their name to the sheriffs dept. they do all the leg work i get back a report. BAM!

It will make you want to reconsider what you say/ do both online and off.

I already do that and I haven't even looked into any of that stuff. I wish there was a button you can push to delete everything you've ever said on the net.

I use a combination of Lexis-Nexis and state police criminal record checks.
