 Totally true, dude. Our Kaitlyn (http://www.todaystmj4.com/about/people/anchors/82948142.html) is a former Miss Wisconsin. I don't think she could understand a cup holder.
Our "Kaitlin" is a little Italian dude named Sal who I think hit on my girlfriend once even though he was clearly already ON a date with some other woman.

How can there be 20 or more albums that "define" you? Isn't that just getting silly?
The Styx catalog pretty well sums me up. From the rebellious highs of "Too Much Time on My Hands" and "Renegade" to the fabulous theatrics of "Mr. Roboto" and the tepid decline that was "Show Me the Way," I am Styx.

I do wish they'd take the cunt out of country these days.
If your face doesn't look like six miles of bad road, you don't belong in country music. Country music is not for pretty people or sheltered people. It's for people who've lived and have the scars to prove it.
I posted that because I think that, in this world of Rascal Flatts and Carrie Underwood, we should pause every now and again to collectively nod with approval in the direction of folks like Willie Nelson, Johnny Cash, and Waylon Jennings.

Our small high-school group swapped the same girl for virtually all four years. No one emerged from that scene looking good, so I see the need for the protocol.
Then again, when my wife walked away, one of her recent best friends swooped in to become Half-Pint very soon after. H-P even quoted Baby Got Back: "They toss it. And leave it. And I pull up quick to retrieve it."

My best buddy Dave thought it would be a good idea to see my ex Amber (no really) back in 1991 or so.
I didn't care, but yet I did.
I dumped Amber pretty good and I've got some pretty hilarious stories about bumping into her whilst I was with my knockout new girlfriend. So I had no residual feelings.
But Dave knew Amber was a cunt - he told me so many times - and yet, there he was. And of course she did it to get back at me and then she dumped him and he was sad. And what am I supposed to do in that situation? There Dave is, all sad and shit.
Anyway, after some time had passed, I started offering Dave my pizza crusts and such - "hey, I don't want these anymore, do you want my discards and rejects, like you wanted Amber?" This tradition pops up still every once in a while when Dave's wife and Jessica are out of earshot.

Like I said, from 1988 - 1991 I had many hilarious encounters of accidentally bumping into Amber while with Amy or Jenny. But her hooking up with my best friend Dave was probably a major trump, in her mind anyway.
Ten years later I was in a serious relationship with Amber's former best friend, Michelle. Michelle and I had a long history of near-misses, but in 2001 we were finally together. I had actually completely forgotten about the Amber/Michelle connection by then. And it came to pass that Michelle's brother was working with Amber and Michelle and I came to visit one day and Amber had a meltdown after we left and quit.
So for the record, I am still the champ!

The alcohol was funny in Egypt. I had wine "from Egypt's best and only vineyard." And there is a beer called Stella (no relation to Artois) whose slogan was something like "Whatever doesn't kill you," because all of the other alcohol was cheap knockoff stuff like Jock Daniels or Jose Corvo.

When I'm off the grid for more than 36 hours I really miss this place.
Last night I saw Airplane for the first time... on the big screen. An amazing experience. Packed house, Zucker, Zucker, Abrahams and Robert Hays in the building. Everyone went crazy for the credits and roared with every joke, gag and pun. Lines were shouted by half the audience at times. When each character appeared for the first time everyone cheered, the loudest ones for the late Leslie Nielsen, Robert Hays and Stephen Stucker (There's a sale at Pennys!). I even discovered a few gags I'd missed (and I've watched the film several dozen times). Standing Ovation at the end of the movie and again after a one hour moderated Q&A followed by audience questions.
This is how the classics should be watched.

We were way overdue; this is the first year in 20+ years that I've had a house to shovel instead of an apartment where other chumps have to do it. And we've only had dustings this year.

http://www.blogcdn.com/blog.moviefone.com/media/2010/05/hobowithashotgun050410.jpg
Just last month, our Alison Nastasi shared word that Hobo with a Shotgun -- the fan film that won SXSW's Grindhouse trailer contest -- was getting the feature treatment. ...but not just with anyone, with Rutger Hauer. Talk about getmetothetheaterSTAT! casting. I'm not sure there would be a better man to deliver justice one shell at a time. The film has been in production for three weeks and the first still has hit, which you can see above.
In Alliance's press statement, Hauer says: "We're being very naughty and very dirty and very ugly. We're not trying to make anything pretty. We're not trying to charm anybody. We're saying this is an ugly movie." Ugly, maybe, but that shot of Hauer covered and blood and holding a shotgun is filling me with Ladyhawke glee.
The film focuses on "a vigilante homeless man who pulls into a new city and finds himself trapped in urban chaos, a city where crime rules and where the city's crime boss reigns. Seeing an urban landscape filled with armed robbers, corrupt cops, abused prostitutes and even a pedophile Santa, the Hobo goes about bringing justice to the city the best way he knows how -- with a 20-gauge shotgun. Mayhem ensues when he tries to make things better for the future generation. Street justice will indeed prevail." Of course it will. It's Rutger frickin' Hauer.
So, The Dank Knight..

In my younger days, I used to get Dennis Miller.
Maybe Jimmy Conners, too, after I got a little weight on my face.

Facebook is baiting me pretty hard today.
So far I have one "everyone should speak English" post and one "everyone should take a moment and remember how awesome Ronald Reagan was".
I feel like I'm having a stroke.

Man, I'd be eating healthier at work. The vending machine there has Wheat Thins. All I got here is M&Ms, Little Debbie Valentines Cakes, and shredded cheese right out of the bag.
