for dinner tonight.
It was so crazy good we all overdid it, and I made corn bread (both pretty healthy versions, actually) and MAN was it nice.
Yum.
Sorry, but yum.

I had a bowl of orphan tears and a mug of kitten blood.
I'm a bland food kind of person.

Ooooh yummy. I made chilli last night too, but no corn bread. Maybe I'll throw a batch of that together tonight to go with the leftovers.

Fear and intimidation.
Also, Calico's go best with the tears. That, or a nice Merlot.

What sort of chili?
I know you can't eat beef due to that whole thing with the turning green, vomiting and needing to go to hospital type allergy you have to it, so did you make a veggie version or use chicken (my allergy), lamb or something else?

There is no good chilli that isn't Ollie-approved :3

This confuses me.
First, Gail can cook? I'm astounded. She's multi-talented.
Second, Gail is allergic to beef. What kind of chili doesn't have beef in it? I can see deer chili but that just creates more questions. Like did she kill the deer with her bare hands on a Bigfoot expedition?

I've seen veggie and chicken recipes for chicken, although minced lamb could probably be used with reasonable effect.

I like mine with a mix of meats, honestly. Beef, pork and either lamb or turkey depending on what I'm going for.

I have to be honest and say that although I do like chili, I tend to prefer milder variants and often eat it in a wrap (burrito) or as a side dish to another meal.
I even got a taste for chili spaghetti a while back as I wanted to make spaghetti bolognese but I only had Uncle Ben's chili con carne sauce and not pasta sauce so I made it anyway and it was really good with the spaghetti rather than rice.
I used to eat the old version of Phileas Fogg Tortilla Chips all the time as a teenager but the modern relaunched versions aren't nearly as good in flavour despite being pretty good chips. The flavours have been completely changed and my old favourites are gone from the range.

I accuse Gail of deer hunting while chasing Bigfoot and all you guys can come up with is that you can put things besides beef in chili?
I am SO ashamed. Who are you people and what have you done with my YABSers?

Ground turkey works well in seasoned things.

You can decrease the heat in it to make it more bearable
I love Indian food, and Mexican, those can be bathed in pepper and hot spice

I find most spice recipes obnoxious.
If I order steak, I wanna taste it rather than the red hot poker it may be served with.
