Do you think Jesus wears robes or modern clothes? And the angels?
Or, do you think they still dress like people from late antiquity?

Have you ever really looked at your hand, dude? I mean really really looked at it? It's so weird.

It looks even weirder after I pull it out of your mother's cooch.

I believe in God and Christ and angels and the supernatural. They are spiritual beings without physical bodies, so they don't wear anything.

Probably because your hand is now covered in Vagina Maggots.
Cause my mother has been dead for 6 months.
You New Yorkers are so callous.

What if they were to take physical form, on earth?
That said, would you find it weird to see pictures of Jesus in a business suit as opposed to a toga?
(Given that jesus lived, or likely did-there is a debate over this--I suppose it isn't peculiar that he is often depicted wearing the clothes commensurate with his time)

That's how I am as well.
Though if they came down to earth, they'd probably wear modern clothes so that they can blend in.

On the rare occasions that they materialized in Biblical accounts, they appeared in attire familiar to the people they were interacting with.

Jesus wears beer can hats and Uggs.
That's all.

Ah, but Jesus isn't a businessman, he's a carpenter!
I was gonna go find a funny picture of a carpenter for my post, but when I Google imaged the word I got different kind of Carpenter. A better kind of Carpenter.

Just out of curiosity, do you think you used "commensurate" properly?
It doesn't sound right to me.

I paused over it, thinking it usually applies to physical quantities like price or salary, but then said fuck it because I couldn't think of a better word to use. I shall look it up.

Looking it up, it is used correctly, just kind of poorly. The third definition on two different dictionaries said "proportionate, adequate." So you're right, whereas I'm "not entirely wrong, but still used it pretty poorly."

It would be cool if they were wearing the onsies that everyone wears in the future. I wish I could still believe in Jesus.

But to be a Christian you have to believe that Christ physically rose from the grave.

If God exists, he must be perfect in every way. And to be perfect, he must have perfectly sized genitalia. And since he must be perfectly modest, he must cover himself perfectly with perfect clothes.
At least, that is my recollection of Descartes' ontological proof that God is a snappy dresser.

Are there any witnesses? I'd love to hear from them.
God is probably dressed in Alexander McQueen and Versace.

Yeah, it sounded clunky. Maybe "contemporary" would have worked better? As in "wearing contemporary clothes"?
Yes, I'm a nerd.

They are luminous and would probably choose to look like something you would recognize in your own mind.
