So she's taking a doo doo in that picture?

Amanda Conner's fantastic, but for whatever reason I like her better on the DC side of things. Something about their deeper Silver Age roots seems a better fit for the lightness of her artwork. For me, anyway.

Well, Amanda Conner did draw The Pro...

Amanda Conner is so damn awesome!

If I ever get a chance to see her at a con again, I would love to get her to do a Soulsearchers & Company sketch.

She drew alot of the Millar Morrison run on Vampirella. Those were the first comics by her that I had bought.

I do remember seeing her on Barbie & Gargoyles back when I worked at a comic shop. She was good even back then.

She definitely draws the definitive version of Power Girl. I really like how expressive and spunky her characters are, especially her women.

I met her at WWPhilly 2005 and had a nice conversation with her.

Her work does look better at DC. Can't explain why...

I agree. She has an old school feel of fun and fantasy that many modern comics, at least Marvel/DC superhero comics have lost. Though I hope that she can bring it back.

I have to say as much as enjoyed her work on Vampirella, I don't think she found any more of perfect fit that when she did Disney's Gargoyles for Marvel. She fit so perfect in that series.

And that Black Cat . . . meow. That reminds me a lot of Terry Dodson's Black Cat.

Connor has what all the painters & tracers don't have: the ability to draw free hand.

I'd love to see her on a Mary Marvel book.

She doesn't really sketch at most cons anymore.

I met the woman. I love her! I asked her to pass a "hi" to Jimmy for me since I didn't see him at the booth when I met her. I said that he should know me from the Comic Bloc.

I partied with her at Baltimore a few years ago (I was at a hotel party she and Jimmy crashed). She's incredibly nice, easy to talk to, and an absolute master of her craft.

Can't say enough nice things about Amanda Conner.

I was thinking while reading that article, her linework reminds me a lot of Stuart Immonen, while her faces remind me of Kevin Maguire in terms of how expressive and realistic they look.

She gives me hope...hope that girls named Amanda can make it in comics.

She's friggin' awesome. I <3 The Pro. (I like her DC stuff more too)

Huh. Good comparison, even if it's not one i've ever thought of before. But I am also a massive Immonen han and his lines are stunning.
