So I need to downsize some stuff in the house and one of the areas we'll be downsizing is our books. I have a metric shit ton of books and not sure the best way to sell them. I'll be donating a bunch to the library, but would like to make a little cash as well.

Besides the Craigslist, Ebay route (which I'll be trying) any other ideas? I have collections of DragonLance, Forgotten Realms, Star Wars, Terry Goodkind, Brian Keene, Richard Laymon and Marvel/DC prose novels. I think I can make a few bucks on those.

I've sold a bunch of books over the years via Amazon Marketplace.

Take the whole lot to the local used book store and take whatever they'll give you. It won't be much.

Our local used bookstores only give store credit, which in the past I would have loved.

I saw someone sold their collection of Dragonlance for $400. I don't even want that much. I'll be happy with a buck or two a book. Which is cheaper than they can be purchased at the Used bookstore for. Just have to find my niche.

Thanks for the suggestions.

Check out http://www.powells.com/sell/ they let you sell them books online and if you reach a certain total, you can ship them free. I've used them a few times and they pay via paypal.

Thanks for this. I've got some strategy guides (new) that I'm trying to get rid of & make a little spending money.
