Ricky Gervais has let slip on Jonathan Ross' chat show that the reason he has passed on a fairly sizeable role in Mission Impossible 3 is that he's acting in Christopher Guests' next movie "For Your Consideration".
This is the first I've heard of this project and am guessing that it will revolve around an awards show of some kind.

Is Guest still holding strong on that whole "we're not doing anymore non-scripted mockumentary films" thing?

Either way, I look forward to seeing he & Gervais work together.

I'll see anything done with Guest leading it.

I've never heard of this project.
And?
As my post said it's the first mention of this project and Gervais' involvement with it.
The star of the Office joining Guest's troupe should be good.

I don't mind if they're not doing the mockumentaries anymore. But I hope he keeps the cast and the basic "loose script improv" setup.

Maybe Guest saw with Curb Your Enthiusiasm that you don't have to do bits to camera in improv.
How cool would it be if Larry David was involved in his movie as well as Gervais?

it would be cool enough to make me shit myself and then see that movie a billion times.
