Gail Simone has been pumping out her brand of obscene filth for too long! First she has Secret Six which glorifies murder and filth and portrays cold-blooded killers and deviants as being just like the rest of us and cast them as heroes! How could someone do such a thing portraying evil people as having roots?

Or "Birds of Prey" which tries to pass itself off as a girl power book when in reality it just portrays women as objects of desire. And she even went so far as to push an anti-homosexual agenda when she (BOP #3 spoilers) Cast two gay men as supervillains!

Or Wonder Woman who is supposed to be majestic and yet she brings her down to earth. Thus taking away her importance and inspiration to all women everywhere!

How could someone support such a horrible person? I ask you my fellow human beings to reject this and win the war against obscene comic books for our children!*

I was never mad at the Scans Daily posters, they had what they felt was a legitimate beef, that's always fine. It was frustrating because that story is SO not what it seemed at the time.

But the mods, or most of them, yikes. I lost all respect for them after their behavior about it elsewhere. It was just the full bingo card of juvenile internet, catty, and dishonest behavior.

So it's a shame, I really think the board is a great idea.

But I also have rethought the value of creators participating in threads like on SD. It seems kind of douchy in retrospect. Readers have to have the right to vent about stuff they are mad about. Having the writer suddenly show up and 'correct' them seems really obnoxious and I clearly was guilty of that behavior. I think it's better for the pros being discussed to probably stay out of the conversations there. It should be a haven where readers CAN be outraged without the sudden intrusion of the creative team.
