No, it was an ingrown toenail that I'd taken out, but it turns out that I accidently cut something and it ended up all nasty and infected when the nail grew back.

You don't talk to a three year old in the sense of a back and forth conversation. You can ask them to name concreate objects easy enough but abstract concepts are still beyond the little guy. He simply repeated what he overheard from my brother and I had to go to the souce who lied but google explained it true enough.

I've been trying to track down the script for a while.. here's all I've managed to piece together about it so far:

Potential Spoilers hidden:

Emily Browning or Baby Doll is taken to an insane asylum by her abusive stepfather. He is doing this because in a
fit of rage he killed Baby Doll's younger sister (the young girl in the trailer) and to keep it a secret he intends
to pay off the doctor to perform a lobotomy on her so his crime will remain a secret.
In the prison, Baby Doll meets her fellow inmates, which are the main cast and her therapist Carla Gugino, who
performs a form of 'sound therapy' on Baby Doll. She finds out that in 5 days the doctor (John Hamm) will arrive to
perform the lobotomy on her and so she recruits the members of the asylum to escape before this happens. The
treatment in the asylum is harsh, so to escape and spurr her to action to collect the devices they need to mount
their escape, Baby Doll enters into a delusion of a cabaret and brothel type establishment and also fantasy action
worlds.

In this delusiononal world her inmate friends are prostitutes/dancers at the brothel and her therapist (Carla
Gugino) is the madam/choreographer. In this brothel world she imagines that in 5 days a 'High roller' (John Hamm)
will arrive to take away her virginity. So in that time she hatches a plan with her fellow dancers to escape the
brothel before this happens.

That is the general plot. As Baby Doll and her fellow inmates collect the items they need (probably five items one
of them being a lighter) to escape, Baby Doll intermittently enters the brothel world and the fantasy/action world
to collect the items. In the cabaret world she also dreams through interpretative dances peformed at the cabaret by
each of the girls their growth as individuals and possibly their friendship with her. (vanessa Hudgens in a
screenshot is in a harem outfit and performs a bellydance of sorts)

What isn't clear is where or how exactly the shifts into the brothel/cabaret world and the crazy fantasy worlds
occurs. Snyder says that sound plays a crucial component in the transition between worlds, so it is likely that
Baby Doll will transition to a world, probably the cabaret/brothel world each time she undergoes 'sound therapy' at
the hand of Carla Gugino her therapist and definitely when she is supposed to 'perform' in the cabaret on stage.
And each time her and her team collect an item they need to escape with, they enter into a fantasy action world,
where their attainment of said device is greatly overdramatized.

While this is occurring it is unclear how each of her delusions will effect 'reality' at the asylum. But
considering both worlds are of Baby Dolls own creation and are a mixture of the real and unreal, predicting what
will 'stick' in the real world is next to impossible.

Another thing to keep in mind is that everything in the movie is played 'straight'. These delusions of Baby Doll
aren't just fantasy worlds drawn from her mind, but instead directly reflect aspects of reality too, even though
that sounds really obvious. Snyder says the film is as serious as a heart attack.

That is the general gist of it. It's much more complicated than this in that each version of reality feeds into the
other. But I don't know the details about that.

They were likely using passive spells. Many of them healed their team members, which made many of them annoying.
