It cracks me up that they win the world over with a cover of a gawdawful Kiss song at the end of the movie. God, what an awful song.

Unless it's supposed to be the song playing over some unheard awesome song Bill & Ted are playing when they do the newstories clippings montage at the end of the movie. I hope that's the case...

I have a confession to make:

I have never seen, nor do I have any interest in seeing, either Bill and Ted movie. I assume there was only two because I've only heard of Bogus Journey and Excellent Adventure.

Actually Kiss was also covering it. That song was first done by a band called Argent, and the original is a damn fine early 70's arena rock song.

And the comic book series by Evan Dorkin (collected into two trades by Slave Labor) was fantastic.

It always looked like they were playing a different song after the initial riffs.

And for any naysayers, you are missing the single greatest alien character in the history of cinema: Station.

Me too! Actually I was originally embarrassed to like it because i thought it was a Bill & Ted song, but when I learned it was a real song I felt better about it.

I know life sometimes can be rough! And I know life sometimes can be a drag! But God has given us a gift... he has given us a road... and that road's name is ROOOOOOOOOCK AND ROOOOOOOOOOOOLL!

Also, I'm like 90% sure that the version of the song playing IS KISS.

Semi related - I always wondered if there was some connection between the fact that Bill and Ted travel through time in a phone booth and Doctor Who travels through time in a police call box (I know it's just the Tardis' disguise, but just going on appearance). I know original it was going to be a car and that was changed after the success of back to the Future, and that the Bill and Ted phone booth is very different than Doctor Who's police call box, but it seems to similar to be an accident.

I always considered Bill & Ted to be an american version of the Doctor Who mythos
