Danish company Dam Things has licensed its Troll Doll brand to Dreamworks Animation to turn into an animated feature says The Hollywood Reporter.

The fuzzy-haired dolls were originally created in 1959 and have seen several revivals over the years. The film is expected to expand the troll dolls' mythology as well as relaunch the toy line.

Adam Wilson and Melanie Wilson LaBracio ("Evergone," "The Impossible Adventures of Phineas Roone") will pen the screenplay.

And yet, I don't have a consultant's job for Dreamworks. Tell ya what Mr. Geffen. Mr. Spielberg. I want you to look at your current executive consultant's salary. The one who greenlit this POS idea. I will undercut him. I'm asking for a mere 40 to 45 grand a year. And here's just a taste of the wisdom... A TROLL MOVIE IS A SPECTACULARLY STUPID IDEA. See? Look how smart that was.
