Wow, this looks awesome. I saw an early screening of Iron Man 2 and it didn't have any trailers attached to it so I was looking for a release online - can't wait for the HD version. Also, have you guys seen the new poster? Looks pretty great. ;)

Gah!

Anyone else notice the scene in your image sig didn't actually make it into the Iron Man movie, even though it was in every trailer?

Cool visuals, great cast...but I'm waiting for some reviews first.

The idea of Nolan trying to get all psychological and deep doesn't fill me with confidence.

I'm definitely interested - Dreamscape was a favorite movie of mine as a kid and the trailers have all been interesting.

Christopher Nolan's hit and miss for me, though, and DiCaprio's yet to move me with a performance. Maybe Gilbert Grabe, but I think I'll never see what everyone else sees in him. He always comes off as a guy trying to act to me.

Huh? Nolan has yet to deliver a stinker so he gets a pass in my book. So far I've liked (if not loved) everything he's done so at this point I'll see whatever he wants to make.

Memento? Insomnia? The Prestige? The Dark Knight? Seems like his entire career has been about psychologically driven movies.

REally! That surprises me. I mean, I've had similar criticisms of Leo in his early days, but it seems to me like he really started putting in the effort in the 00's. Catch Me If You Can, The Departed, and Shutter Island all struck me as having VERY strong DiCaprio performances.

As for Nolan... I have to admit, I've never been disappointed by him. There have been elements of a few of his movies that I felt could have been a little stronger, but overall, he always satisfies. Especially with his own projects (as opposed to the Bat flicks). I'm expecting greatness with this flick.

How is it this trailer can't stay up for more than 10 minutes, but the "super secret" JJ Abrams trailer was online last night before midnight eastern time, and has been up since?

Yes, and the parts where he tries to deal with that aspect are the weakest parts of the films, and often just flat-out awful.

See the incessant repetition of amatuer hour psychology and philosophy/having the characters constantly explain any sort of subtext in both Batman films for examples of this.

Maybe it's just me - I've just never seen the acting evolution that others do. And he's been in movies I've really wanted to like, like The Departed and Gangs of New York.

But I sort of hate him.

I love Memento, like his Batman movies, didn't like The Prestige much at all - I think that's all I've seen of him. It's actually a solid enough track record, taken as a whole.

Man, when I first saw Gilbert Grape, I seriously thought he was retarded in real life.

you are a jaded man. he has put his clout behind one great director and script after another. he hasn't made one movie that wasn't at least interesting.

I don't think I'm jaded against good actors - I see good acting casually in movies all the time, even bad ones - but maybe something blinds me on the subject of DiCaprio. I can't imagine what, though. I never even hated him when he was the guy we were supposed to hate because he was a heartthrob. His acting just seems phony to me.

That looks like a thing of beauty. Is the trailer music part of the actual score?? If not, does anyone recognize it? Me want!

That whole "BWAMB!!" thing? Yeah that's the movie score.

Well, I figure that sound is sort of a signature sound for the movie, but the previous trailers that featured it were actually custom scored by a stock music group. It's all rising strings and that BWAMB sound.

This one was different, though... it had melody, orchestration... it sounded like score.

And it looks like Hans Zimmer is doing the score. :ecstatic: Which makes me even more excited.

Yeah, I can't wait for another Zimmer score.

Zimmer's gotten to be Nolan's Danny Elfman or John Williams. It's awesome.

You didn't see this trailer, you saw the teaser. It had a bunch of chitchat and then it showed the wave of buildings scene without giving any indication of what the movie was about. This one is much longer and fleshier. Just like you like it.
