"Why would you do that?" ... "I need that to fly" was actually going through my head when I saw the trailer the first time.

Flying at near the speed of sound with no helmet doesn't sound like a great idea. In fact I think that's why we tend to go for enclosed cockpits in jets (as well as altitude issues of course)
