I remember reading something by an author (I can't remember if it was comics, or prose) about why a writer shouldn't use, or should avoid using "later" and "meanwhile" to depict time lapse or scene jumps.
Anyone know about that?

I like saying MeanWillie in lieu of Meanwhile and Lather instead of Later.
