Beautiful art, looks more like European album art rather than your average comic stuff (if my statement makes any sense).

The Galactus in Firenze is my new desktop.

I WILL buy this series!

And Hickman, if you ever want to do a Titian vs Titan arc, I'll draw that for free.
Well, close to free. Well, I'll agree that the the pagerate be in US dollars.

Yes it does and yes, you're right.
This needs to be in an oversized hardcover

Seconded.
Now I get why it's a bimonthly series, dude's drawing all the brick of every city buildings. Love the sense of detail.

Art so incredible that I want to bathe in it. And Hickman's big concepts excite even without text.

One small letdown...

I like the oft-used notion that Galactus appears to a population in a form that their brains can comprehend.

While these people are still human, I was hoping to see a Renaissance Galactus whose get-up tied into that era's concepts of god and technology instead of the trippy space-age purple-pantsed version we know and love.

100 times yes.

I will buy the floppies but will re-dip if Marvel does right by the collection.

In his WB interview Hickman insisted on the risk of cancellation since it's an ongoing.
I don't want to be stuck with 11 fucking Deadpool books per month for another year.

In the other SHIELD thread, he seemed pretty upbeat about getting to go the distance because the numbers on Issue 1 sales were solid.

This looks fucking insane. At first I thought the gold giant was Galactus. WTF is it? I love the X-related cameo too. The pages look fucking gorgeous, kinda makes me wish there was an unlettered version. (Hey maybe digital comics can do that eventually, an option to take away word balloons.) Holy shit, I can't wait for this. If this gets canceled prematurely then fuck the general comic book reading audience up the ass.

A Celestial?

A Celestial?

That was my second thought although I'm hoping its a robot designed by the human geniuses to go up against Galactus. But then again it seems like it has boobies so maybe its a Celestial after all.

Robots have been known to have boobies. We all remember chick-Ultron from Bendis' first arc, and now Jocasta during Slott's run. :thumb:

Oh yeah, what an idiot I am. There's still hope for a giant golden robot. Make it so Hickman!

It's a Celestial. That scene is during ancient China, while Galactus is in the medieval Europe.

And some of the patterns on it seemed Celestial-y. Oh well. Still awesome.

Someone told me Apoc was in that shot and I still missed him :D

Anyone notice the guy with the shield that has a beetle/spider on it? Next to the guy with the moon crescent?

Any chance that's the Moon Knight precursor? Spidey precursor (Pavitr Prabhakar ala Spiderman India?)

If that's half-as-awesome as it looks, I'll buy two copies.

OK - so glad that Marvel seems to realize the work of art they have in their hands.

Seems that they're also releasing Issue 01 in a Black & White format next week:
