View Full Version : Hi Benbo! I'm drunk and chatty!

I like it here. Lurk a lot. Post occasionally. Get massive enjoyment and inspiration from this place and its denizens. I have dranken rather a lot of tequila. I make comics. This board has a lot to do with that. So. Ask me anything. Say hello. Tell me about yourself. Tell me to get bent. It's all good. I'll hang about for a bit and then I will no doubt succumb to margarita oblivion. Man. typing is hard...

Clarify: the board as a lot to do with your comic-making, or your rampant alcoholism?

It's 1:24 in the afternoon where I am. I choose to judge you and state that you have a drinking problem.

Sam Little

Ha! And so it begins. I live in Oslo where it is night. However, I am drinking alone. Warning sign! I will blame the comics on the Benbo and the alcoholism on the tastiness of tequila.

The sun is hot and that old clock is movin' slow,
An' so am I.
Work day passes like molasses in wintertime,
But it's July.
I'm gettin' paid by the hour, an' older by the minute.
My boss just pushed me over the limit.
I'd like to call him somethin',
I think I'll just call it a day.

Pour me somethin' tall an' strong,
Make it a "Hurricane" before I go insane.
It's only half-past twelve but I don't care.
It's five o'clock somewhere.

Oh, this lunch break is gonna take all afternoon,
An' half the night.
Tomorrow mornin', I know there'll be hell to pay,
Hey, but that's all right.
I ain't had a day off now in over a year.
Our Jamaican vacation's gonna start right here.
Hit the 'phones for me,
You can tell 'em I just sailed away.

An' pour me somethin' tall an' strong,
Make it a "Hurricane" before I go insane.
It's only half-past twelve but I don't care.
It's five o'clock somewhere.

I could pay off my tab, pour myself in a cab,
An' be back to work before two.
At a moment like this, I can't help but wonder,
What would Jimmy Buffet do?

Funny you should ask that because I'd say:
Pour me somethin' tall an' strong,
Make it a "Hurricane" before I go insane.
It's only half-past twelve but I don't care.

Pour me somethin' tall an' strong,
Make it a "Hurricane" before I go insane.
It's only half-past twelve but I don't care.
He don't care.
I don't care.
It's five o'clock somewhere.

What time zone am on? What country am I in?
It doesn't matter, it's five o'clock somewhere.
It's always on five in Margaritaville, come to think of it.
Yeah, I heard that.
You been there haven't you.
Yessir.
I seen your boat there.
I've been to Margaritaville a few times.
All right, that's good.
Stumbled all the way back.
OK. Just wanna make sure you can keep it between the navigational beacons.
Bring the booze, I tell you.
All right. Well, it's five o'clock. Let's go somewhere.
I'm ready, crank it up.
Let's get out of here.
I'm gone.
Let's get out of here.

How cool you are depends on what tequila you are drinking.

This is awesome. I totally recognize the user names of all three posters thus far. Thanks for posting in my drunken thread benboites! Now back to browsing the weird images. But please, by all means, keep posting in my thread to feed my liquored up attention deficit!

Holy shit! I can't keep up with my own thread! But I recognize Ryudo and Jason California too. They are some funny motherfuckers. Unfortunately I'm not all that cool. I'm drinking Sauza tequila because that is what they sell at the tax free liquor store at Gardermoen airport in Oslo. Liquor is balls expensive in Norway if you buy it at the wine monopoly (the state run liquor store which is the only place in Norway one is allowed to purchase happymaking beverages). If I was in New York I'd be drinking Patron.

If you tell me the name of that song Ryudo, I will listen to it while I drink my shitty tequila. I will do this for you, because you posted in my thread.

You previously called the tequila tasty, then admitted it was Sauza. So I think you're pretty close to the cut off point.

I try to learn the most important lessons in life from the Simpsons. And if Homer says the Lord counts as a person, then I believe him. :)

It's also why the most important lesson of all in life I have in my signature so I can share this wisdom with others.

TO ALL MY FRIENDS! All you fuckers rock for indulging my drunken thread posting. You know, in my eyes this is like hanging with celebrities, 'cause so far I recognize all of the posters here fork threads in which I have lurked. Hmmm. I see I have typed "fork:" instead of "from". This is evidence of my increasing drunkeneness. I am drinking Sauza in the form of Margaritas not straight tequila (I'm not that much of a man). So it tastes pretty OK.

Also, improtant lesson from the Simpsons! Yes. Righty-O. Fuck, I can't even correct my typos at this point. How long will this last? Must switch to beer.

Doug - a philistine you are not. Frozen drinks are for girls. Margaritas on the rocks are for men in touch with their feminine sides.

EDIT: Jef UK - I gotta check out your band next time I'm in New York, man. Seen some pics that just look phenomenal. You guys got an album out I can buy somewheres?

Good morning from the far side of the world, benbo! Well, the evening reached its end with me watching 10 minutes of KNOWING before being claimed by oblivion.

I did manage to drink that glass of water though. Sage advice, Jason California.

Thanks to all for keeping me company and allowing me to babble drunkenly for a little while. Thanks also for the kind words about Fuzzy Fucking Navel. Be sure to check back in on the Secret Project website and give the other stories a look too. More cool stuff to come with updates every other week.
