I've wondering if I could back up my entire library on a flashdrive, instead of an external hard drive, which, according to all of the reviews I've been reading, seem pretty unreliable.

Has anyone ever done this? Pros and cons?

Thanks,

D

Flashdrives are unreliable, too! More so. Back everything up on discs AND get the external harddrive.

I rarely ever have Seagate HD fail (the one time was because of a firmware issue), but the whole idea of having your data backed up is because things can happen. get the EXT HD. You will get a lot more bang for you buck.

I have two Cavalry external drives (500GB and 1TB) that have never caused me any problems, and I've been using them often for years now.

If you want the most stable backup possible, buy a bunch of DVD-Rs and burn your music to them as data discs.
