Did anyone see this over the weekend?

What did you think of the pacing?

The Characters?

Overall was this better than, as good as or worse than Training Day?

Rolling Stone gave it ZERO stars. That doesn't fill me with confidence.

Just don't go in expecting "New Jack City II"

Absolutely worse than TRAINING DAY.

I am not one to complain about money I spent, but it was an absolute waste of ten dollars that could have been used to buy a sandwich.

A tedious, pointless, absolute waste of a film.

I'd rather read WinterRose's threads.

Damn. Really? No performances worth talking about either? From the trailer it looked like Snipes was back in form, and Hawke & Cheadle looked good too.

But I guess not...?

Why? I'm curious what you didn't like.

I'm watching Brooklyn's Finest. Solid cast. Strong performances. Decent script. Interesting to watch the stories intertwine and cross each other.

It's on Netflix instant viewing, if you want to save the money.

How do you think I'm watching this? ;)

Detective Sal got greedy, take the money and run, don't linger brother.

This sort of went with a The Departed ending. :nonono2:

Wesley Snipes needs a cool comeback, something that honors a star of his talent and magnitude. I mean, how is there no Demolition Man 2 in the works?

My brain had forgotten this move existed. Thanks Denny. :(

Things I liked:
Don Cheadle's waterfront condo in the movie was pretty nice.

Things I disliked:
Everything else.

I enjoyed Snipes' earlier films...Blade

Mo Better Blues
New Jack City
Jungle Fever
White Men Can't Jump
The Fan
U.S. Marshals
Money Train

I always hoped to see him in a Black Panther film (T'Challa) directed by John Singleton.

It seemed like a realistic depiction on "the game"...at least from my experience. :p
